if people feel so bad about the terms used for painted minis then maybe an official miniature painters guild should be formed and people can become craftsmen and mastercraftsmen when they are deemed good enough.

until that day can people leave the snobbery/elitist attitude alone.
this is one of the reasons why coolminiornot has the reputation of being painting snobs.

edit:- beaten to it, git.lol

Sorry. I wish I could give you those two minutes back.:D

imho they must realise that their work isn\'t anything special, and it would be frustrating for any buyer who is looking for the genuine article to have to wade through lots like this.

I\'m not sure....

...but I don\'t think any of the real \'top drawer\' painters would use the words, \"pro-painted\" in their descriptions any more.

You know what Steve I believe this propainted term obsession is with us alone. Look at the sales on ebay that have propainted on them and I dont think it matters at all to most.
I think most buyers are below us \"godly creatures\" and actually look for propainted becuase to then something like these tyranids ARE propainted.

I think haowever most of us that use this site would stay clear of the term

Gee where\'s Evil Dave to jump down yer throats for making fun of a guy with lesser painting skills?

Just kidding of course... Yeah, pro painted :) I got wine to play guitar once so I am a pro guitar player too :p

The real \'top drawer\' painters let the pictures talk for themselves.
The Ebay member that searches with \'pro painted\' keyword is really looking to waste is money, and if they see the pics and want to own them, he does not deserve any better.

This being said, It\'s not the paint job that makes this incredible, It\'s the colors... and anyone who couldn\'t do better than that is a tasteless freak, or a 5yo kid or a heavy daltonian... well, you get it.

The whole point of this for me is that if someone wants to search ebay for pro painted stuff and then likes what they see from the photos then I honestly dont give a shit.

Go see the feedback for said items. I bet 99% of the buyers are happy with what they got.

And who are we to judge what is \"pro\" painted.

I would honestly buy them just to strip them. I want those old models.

I know this is a recurring subject but this auction is surely the BEST eBay pro-painted I have seen. Especially check out the lowest picture (the beast with a pink head and body).

Well, if it\'s old tyranids you\'re looking for, I have some up on eBay now. They\'ve been gathering dust and taking up space I need for newer stuff. ;)

Funny thing is that these are nearly 10 year old paintjobs which I wouldn\'t dream of calling anything but tabletop, priced around $2 a figure, and they\'re better looking IMO than this other fellow\'s so called pro stuff. Ah well. \"Pro painted\" means nothing, we all know that.

I\'m really curious to know if including \"pro painted\" in the title actually helps auction views in any remote way.
