hi Margo,

wow, that is such a clean paintjob - beautiful work! The armour plates are nice, the metal rims look excellent - nice NMM>. I like the way you have used brown to shade the olive green sections, straps etc. But my favourite is the blade - the way you have done the rust shapes/swirls is amazing, I really like that, it\'s so interesting!

It\'s a very intense red, unusual for such a mini. It looks good, but hmmm, something is not right about it....I think the final highlights need to be a bit softer, rather than the intense, almost primary red you have used, especially on the back.

But amazing work as usual, well done! -sebastian

very nice. the nmm is superb as ever. the freehand almost looks as if it is glowing and the base is perfect

you have done it again

the red is great the free hand on the side adds that something extra to miniature.

how have you made the base

@automaton: thank you! The thing is, I really wanted the red to be intense. You see, the legend that stands behind Eclipsante shows her as a very cruel warrior and says that she is able to kill the sun with her own hands. Hence, I wanted her to look aggressive, and I think the intense red serves the purpose.

@freakinacage: thanks a lot!

@james sequeira: Thank you! I sculpted the base from milliput.

Wow! The blade is awesome! I love the rust effect! I like the red too.. but if it\'s a leather material you could do some small brightspots. I understand what Sebastian means, but as you want intense, some brightspots will maybe tune down the slightly uniform look the highlights has. The freehand is great, like the way you did it on the base aswell. The skin colour is superb! What colours did you use on that one? :) The olive colour is also great. 9.5

yes, about the red, as avelorn says - the intense red is good, I am not saying that I think it should not be intense, rather that the extreme highlights could perhaps be a slightly softer, lighter colour. So you would work up to an intense red, as you have done, and maintain the brightness, but then add some small, final highlights with a less intense red where the light falls most directly, just to take the edge off and give a more realistic look. But if you like the way it is, then don\'t change it, of course! It\'s not a problem really, these are just ideas.

You\'re making a lot of sense! :) Consider me signing under Sebastians tip. :p

Again great work, Margo! I think you\'re constantly improving.

It looks like a smasher. Great stuff. To echo the above sentiments, the blade is sublime, as are the freehand whorls. Any chance of posting a slightly larger image in this thread though?

Oh, and I have to say, the miniature looks a little difficult in parts, especially the clothing on the back. Kudos for making it look \'easy\'. :D

Thanks a LOT for the comments, guys!

Avelorn & automaton, yes, yes, I see what you mean now, thanks for elaborating! Good point, however, I tried softer highlights and didn\'t like it. I guess it\'s all a matter of personal taste.

As for the skin color, it\'s Scorched Brown mixed with Graveyard Earth Mixed with Kommando Khaki and highlighted through Bleached Bone to Skull White. Insane, huh.

Oh, and yes, Eclipsante is a difficult miniature indeed! Very sophisticated sculpt, lots of parts very hard to reach with a brush.

I guess I can take a picture from above as well, might actually do it a bit later.

Cheers for that my girl! Much appreciated. No wonder the blade looked so smooth in the first pic...it\'s smooth full stop :D

Nice contrast too without the blacklinig most of us use.

Thank you, thank you! Not using blacklining is something Kirill (Yellow_one) is always accusing me of.

Speaking of posting a bigger picture, I think it\'s too big for CMON gallery. So for private eyes for those who read the forums only ;)

As for Russian women, my friend, I think you\'ve been mislead. I\'m Armenian :). But thank you for the compliment nonetheless!
