then it's malfunctioning...if it weren't for the slave labor (kids) we've have a daily clean-up project!
As it is we stagger feedings throughout the day to be sure there's no conflicts or food thefts.

Well, we feed the mouse after the cats...and we don't let the "Pet" mouse see the snake's mice....

We left our cat (16 yr old indoor only female with an arthritic hip) at my Mom's when we went on vaca for a week. Get home to find out she had "escaped" the first night we left (huge drama ensued as my Mom blamed me..wtf? supposed to believe the cat that sleeps 20 hours a day and limps climbed out a window with a air conditioner in it???).
Well it took us 10 days to find her after the inital week. We went out every single night walking, put up lost posters on every single electric pole. She was sighted in a back yead near my Mom's house. We got a humane trap and had her that night. Just put a little tuna in it. Lost a bunch of weight and had problems sleeping for a month, otherwise no worse for the wear.

We also have a corn snake as well as a tarantula. The funny thing is the cat freaks out if anyone pays the slightest amount of attention to the other pets like a spoiled princess. Like I am going to have the tarantula cuddle next to me while I paint?

My girlfriend wants one of these. Spiders freak me the hell out. Plus, I'm fairly certain Nemo would want to eat it, and I'm not certain that's a battle he would win.

Hehe I have 3 of them and the baby one sits on my painting table. Nemo would just get the spider going all the time thinking it was food hanging around.
