eldar chainswords

i need some tips and advive on making chainswords for my wraithlord..........please help i want to get this model spot on.

I would have done a several layered piece of plastic card, probably 3 or 4 layers, depending how big it looked on it, and made the middle layers the teeth, using something like 3/4 inch card.

Thing is with that is youll end up with long thin blades, even if you double them up, they are gonna look funny, and for the cost of plasticard, you can make scaled up versions of a standard sized sword, and have lots of room for nice big runes and such.

Being not massively different to Imperial chainswords, I think that Malicant\'s would make a good Eldar version with a little modification. Might need lengthened a little (which would be ok as it would look more slender), and fancied up a bit.

Yeah, thats the thing though, would they be too thin, for something of that size, remembering that for scale they would be somewhere close to twice the size of a standard one.

It\'s a 54mm model, the aword is about 5cm long.

2mm plasticard cut into a long strip and then with teetch ciut out of it should do the job. then lay some other thicknesses of plasticard to the sides and contour it with green stuff. that way you can make them as big or small as you like.

alternatively cut the plastic sword you get in the box into a serrated version and build that up with plasi card/greenstuff.
