The red is a first for me, or rather the first time i think i\'ve been able to paint it moderately successfully.

The way the swords are painted is a new technique from me also, which i\'m sure will be used again.

Sweet stuff. The crimson cloak with the gold edging is extremely nice and the swords work a treat. I expect someone of your level to throw in some osl from them though to get a 10! :p

Oh, and is it just the photo or is the big sword blade in his right hand slightly bent?

yeah, you noticed the sword too  the pics really make it stand out, to be honest i didn\'t notice when i painted the mini so it couldnt have been that obvious, but i have sorted it out now with a little tweek.

@Necrontyrtitan - The red on the front was painted with black, highlighted up to blood red, highlighted up to skull white.

The darker red on the cloak was painted with black, highlighted up to red gore, highlighted up with kommando khaki.

Go Leicester!! That is freaking awesome, it\'s nice to see you starting to use NMM more now, I always preferred it to your metallics. The blue tones on this guy\'s helmet arre really cool, and the blades and freehand are jsut awesome. Fantastic stuff! :drunk:

Kommando Khaki... is there anything it can\'t do? It\'s almost as useful as Bleached Bone... almost :)

I simply love this mini, you should get a ton for it on eBay. If I wasn\'t horribly in debt at the moment I\'d consider buying it so I can stare at it all day long :D

Anyway how do you do your gold NMM? If I had to guess I\'d say Black mixed up to Snakebite mixed up with White. Am I close? :)

Excellent work, I really like the swords, they look almost like crystal baldes or something. ANy chance of a write up on your method? I was trying to do a nice sword the other day and ended up just painting it silver.

Very clean, the freehand on the cloak is just subtle enough to really set it off.

The sharp white highlights on the deep red cloak are really great, gives it that satin sheen that sets it apart as being REALLY realistic cloth rather than just \'well painted cloth\'.

Very nice all in all :)

Are those highlights pure white on the very top of some of the gowns? Either way, awesome job.... :drunk::drunk::drunk:
