Eldar Wraithlord WIP (old style)

Hi all, I hope you are well. My latest project is an old style Eldar Wraithlord (can anyone tell me which edition this is please?) that I had knocking around for years. I decided to paint this up due to it being a great model. I would love some feedback on the progress made this far and any suggestions are welcome.... Thanks!

Just a quick progress update, I am thinking that maybe it needs a bit more colour to break up the blue but not really sure how to go about that ! What do you all think ?

Just another quick update, I have finished the gemstones off now and applied my hand painted banner. Just one thing remains really, I would love some suggestions for the base, basing is really not a strength of mine and any suggestions would be excellent! Cheers!

I\'m liking this overall, and I\'m sure I\'ll be corrected if I\'m wrong but I believe that to be a 2nd edition model.

The blue could possibly be a bit darker as it would make the lightning stand out more, something similar to the night lords colour scheme perhaps?

You could use the new \"space marine casulaty\" model at the front of the base. The one where the marine has been shot, and is crawling away shooting his bolt pistol in desperation. You could model \'drag\' marks into the grass or what ever you basing it, to show thats he\'s dragging himself away

I like it... the lightning effect is nice. it can be smoothed out a bit with some thin washes i think.

just a tip with your pics
it doesn\'t matter how many pics you have per post so you don\'t need to keep them altogether
have a read of this How to Photoshop minis

you can make them 600 wide, it\'s good size for most monitors and we can see things better

Not doing as well as I had hoped so far mind, but only on 11 votes I guess. Thank you for the input, I really liked the space marine casualty idea! I will probably include that in the old style War Walker I also have lying around! Cheers!
