Ok, so I just started this the other day and I was hoping to get some input. I used some of the advice I got from other models and I thinned out my paint more. I also used more layering to try for a smoother transition from the shaded areas to the highlighted areas. I kind of like it, but I was wondering what others thought.

Don't pay too much attention to the chest and sides of the legs though. They will be covered up be a breastplate and armour plates at a later stage.

That looks like a big improvement in smoothness of blending for sure. You seem to have a very steady hand which I envy. I would keep building the transition though and maybe take a picture of her with a defined light source direction and study how the shadows play out on her with that. It can act as a very helpful guide when painting shaded areas. It seems like the shaded areas you have are strictly in creviced areas. The body will have larger shaded areas that might be a little more subtle around the thighs and buttocks. It's a nice model, I'm not familiar with it, who makes it? Keep up the good work, you'll get there!

I'm not sure who makes it. I ordered it through an ebay store. It's from the Lineage II game apparently. It's also size comparable to the Ultraforge resin kits. She stands about 9" in height. I decided to start big and scale down as I get the hang of it.

It also won't look as drastic where the flesh meets the white areas in some spaces once I paint the white areas. Also the leg plates will cover up a good part of the thights so I didn't really get too critical about them since they'll be covered up. With her armour all on, the main flesh areas visible are her face, upper and lower back, stomach, lower half of the thighs, upper chest and arms, and center of the buttocks.

I also forgot to mention that I'm using Reaper's Rosy skin, shadow, and highlight. I've only gone from the shadow to the base skin color. I haven't started with the highlight yet. I should be able to get the subtle highlights by working my way up from where I am now once I find them right?

Ah, ok, I see what you mean. Yeah, highlights will make the dynamics of the skin change a lot as well :) I'm looking forward to watching your progress :)
