Eltharion finished mini

At last! I finished a mini!

This has been sitting on my desk and primed for absolutely ages. I only painted it because I couldn\'t be bothered to clean/prime another mini... I always thought the pose was slightly weird.

Anyway, painted with limited palette and neutral colours. I was going to paint some spiffy freehand on the cloak but decided against it as I think it looks better uncomplicated.

Anyhow, let me know what you think :D

Wow! You\'re right! The blends on that cloak are so smooth, it doesn\'t need any freehand to make it look spiffy! Very nice job! Of course, if anyone hassles you about it you could always say you DID do freehand! It\'s part of the Sistine Chapel Ceiling - specifically, the part outlined in blue in the picture below :D

Good stuff there! I also like the cloak uncomplicated like that! There\'s no rule saying all empty surfaces must be covered with freehand! ;)

This is because it was modelled to fit in with a Dark Elf special character, so it looks like they are fighting :)

Thanks guys...

The cloak, despite it being pretty plain actually took quite some time to paint. I did it with loads of thin layers... alborious but strangely satisfying :D

@ Drake... the stone was actually from a wall hanging ornament that my son kindly broke with his football... it was a sort of carved tribal thing made from some sort of fragile stone.

Dauber... lol .... nice one!!

Bay... I think I have the other elf in my gallery... not sure if it\'s the one, but I\'m sure I bought it at the same time :)

7.7 atm... cool, I may yet break an 8... lol
