I just finished a new mini, an Elven prince. I always liked the mini alot, it looks like a Jes Goodwin sculpt. Anybody knows?

I finally printed myself a gradient backdrop.. :)

Nice jewels!

Beautiful! The jewels are really believable, and I\'m jealous of how clean your white looks and how it contrast so well with the offwhite of the cape. Sigh...another thing to aspire to. :flip:

The metallics are awesome. The current trend seems to be dirty or tarnished metalics, well done and clean metal is great to see. Also as Cathy points out, the two different whites are great and really accent one another.

very nice.

This is definately among your best stuff. The \'severe\' look that you have captured in the face really adds to his character. This guy just looks \'alive\'. Great color choices too!

Thank you so much for all your nice comments! :)

Broke n\' english: I tried to paint them to glow, glazing the surroundings with blues, I\'m wasn\'t sure it shows up so good in the picture so I\'m glad you noticed it.

Celthulhu: The whites were really hard to blend.. I used GW skull white and fortress grey and they didn\'t want to do what I told them! (even after severe punishment..) Even though the blends finally became smooth some areas have a bit of a chalkyness(?) not much, but still annoying. It doesn\'t show up in the photo though.. :innocent: The off- white came out better, in fact probably the best blends I\'ve done up to date. Graveyard earth + Kommando khaki-> Bleached bone-> Skull White.

Spacemunkie: You ought to know.. ;)

EricJ: I experimented with the metals using NMM technique, I also mixed blues into the highlights. The lighting was a problem when I photographed them (heard that before? ;))and the shine took away some of the painted effects.

Supervike: I dared to repaint the face once, I was so afraid that I might overload it with paint. But I\'m glad I did.

Again, thanks for all the kind comments.

Stunning work you did there Avelorn. The metals are very, very nice. The jewls rock, the white and off white are top notch. And the leather while a little dark, works because it contrasts with the overall light feeling you gave the rest of it.
