My entry for the UKGD 40k vehicle catagory was a Tauros Venator. When I first saw it on the FW site I just loved it and straight away I knew how I wanted it to look on a scenic base. That being the Venator tearing down a dusty dirt track kicking up dust as it turns a corner. The model itself was pretty straight forward but working out how to do the dust proved to be a bit more difficult. I did think about modeling it in solid material but I wanted a more realistic approach rather than the comic book style that would come from sculpting it. In the end I settled on cotton wool which I tinted with chalk pastels. The wool was superglued to the wheel and then teased into shape with a sculpting tool. It's fair to say that it could do with some improvement but as a first go at this new technique I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Any thoughts on how it can be improved or what you like about it will be greatly received.
