Embarrassing moment of the week :D

I just thought I would share my embarrassing moment with you guys now that my friends have heard about it and laughed their heads off!

I have a large glass dinig room table with a heat protective mat that i use when I decide to do a little painting. I thought I would glue the head onto my skeletal minotaur and paint it up. Sounds all well and good.....so I glue the figure onto the base, and glue that onto an upside down glass to hold onto it. All well and good so far. I then put a little more glue onto the neck, and push the head onto it, resting my right arm onto the table. Now here comes the problem. At some point in this, my superglue had spilt everywhere....on the table, on the glass etc. So I put down the glass...no I don\'t....my thumb is attached. I move my right arm.....no I don\'t....it\'s attached to the table! I managed to peel my thumb off of the glass relatively easily, then(rather stupidly I now realise) went to rub it against my finger to rub the glue off, like you can with PVA. No I don\'t....I\'ve just glued my fingers together:(

5 minutes later I have my fingers free and I grab my portable phone to ring a friend to come round with some nail varnish remover. Unfortunately they have just arrived at a friends house 2 hours away. Now, I can\'t get mine, because I\'m still attached to the table, and it is just a little to heavy to move anywhere! I had to pick my way free (it took 2 1/2 hours!) and I now have a nice bald patch on my right arm.

There are two morals to this story:

1. Have some nail varnish remover near your painting stuff.

2. Maybe I should try pinning things!

I haven\'t dared go near that figure yet!

Hope you enjoyed, and please feel free to add your own story so I am not too lonely :D

Its a Dungeons and Dragons figure (not chainmail) number 88287. Its not as if it was in lots of parts, its only the head that needs to be glued on!

Its not a bad figure, the bones are a bit big, but then I suppose it is half cow :)

Edit: Found a piccie of one for you (not mine)

Ah, if someone had only been there with a video camera...:p A piccie of you, Fizl, with your arm glued to a glass table and your fingers glued together might...MIGHT... have even surpassed Tooshy as a pink paquedermlol

Except it has nothing to do with...um... KY. And he wasn\'t naked (or was he).

I remeber when my Grandfather was gluing some stuff together and glued his fingers together. It was hilarious for us, and if you knew my Grandpa you would laugh your bum off to. It took him half an hour to pull them appart.

No I wasn\'t naked, and he is a she (Sharon!). As an online friend asked and I had to admit, yes I am blonde (underneath my current red hair dye).

I\'m sitting at the computer freezing my butt of since I had to emergency strip down. \"Just a light dusting of scorpion green across his knuckles and I will go back to bed. That was at 5:30. It is now 6:30. I have washed scorpion green out of my bathrobe, bathmat, and carpet. See, I dropped the green paint onto the carpet which rolled onto the hardwood floor. I then walked to the bathroom leaving green footprints behind and proceeded to wash out my bathrobe. What I didn\'t realize is that I had stepped in it and thinking I was nearing completion of the cleanup process I realized that I now had to wash the bathmat. Pulling up the bathmat I realized that I had put down the toilet lid like I had been taught. This wouldn\'t be a problem but the outside cat is an outside cat because she refuses to use the litter boxes. She will only go in the toilet. Since the lid was down, she just unloaded on the floor. That mess would be cleaned up after I finsihed getting the throw rug out of the painting room and washing it out too. So much for getting away with same early morning painting. At least I didn\'t glue myself to a table. That would be embarrasing.

Coffin Dodger / Keymaster
Ouch!

I once helped a friend glue a clear canopy on his model airplane. After we got it exactly where he wanted it, he dripped thin superglue down the joint between the canopy and the fuseloge (sp - top of the plane). I have my finger on the canopy making shure it does not move.

After about a half ounce of CA is applied, he suddenly jumps up screaming & hollering.:flip: It seems that the thin CA was flowing down the joint, then down the plane & onto his jeans (about half way up from the knee) It suddenly set off with a stinky smell and he thought his leg was on fire :flame:

The fun part was watching him try to get out of those pants that were glued to his thigh.lol Talk about a wax job.
