So with GD 2012 just a week away I have just finished my second entry and as I speak am at work on the third. Now I am not by any means good at miniatures photography so my apologies ahead of time as I don't think I did a good job capturing these minis but I thought I would post the pics anyways for you all. This is for WHF Reg't entry and is the Empire Demigryphs regiment so leave the feedback and if you are at GD next week in Chicago check them out first hand.

Standard Bearer was a lot of fun and if I was better at freehand I would of done more.

This guy was the last to the group.

This entry for me is entitled "The road to War" and when you see them in person you will see they make up a road and the sign reads "<--- Not Orks" "---> Nuln" with "The Moore" sign on the ground hiding behind a small patch of grass and some leaves. Origonally I was going to have a goblin hiding in some bushes on the other side but didn't like how he turned out so I pulled him from the base. Enjoy.

Yea if the pics were all the same size as the first one, I'd love to see all the details. Looks great though, can't wait to see them in person.

I did in fairness say i am horrible with miniatures photography. The first entry is the games day forgebworkd show model from 2010 the chaos dwarf. I can't come up with a decent photo of that to save my life which is too bad as it was a fun model to do.

I meant that even though the photos aren't great, I can still see that they look very well done. I struggle with photos as well. Especially with larger minis. But I too look forward to seeing these in person, they make me want to go out and buy a box of them. Well done.

I think many of us van commiserate! To take good photos is like a whole other hobby that I just don't have time to learn. Like Chad says though, I can see enough to say that they look great. Some good blending and nice smooth metals. No design on the banner? You still have a week. ;) (Please don't let me talk you into doing anything to ruin them though at this late stage).

Hehehe your fine.chad and i like the sabo comment. I actually thought about doing a design of a drahon and such but grrgand is not my strong suit and rather then risk it without more practice i took the safe bet. You will see these at dinner greg as i intend to bring my box along for the pizza meet up with all of us.

Indded I am Alex :) shhh I have a secret identity to maintain ;). I guess we all get to see each others pieces at Giordonos on Friday.
@Cassar: You are correct I haven't been around lately as in April after more doctors then I can count and years of searching a leading Ear, Nose, and Throat Doctor finally figured out why my wife was having migraines and sinus issues. She had a 3.5 cm bone tumor growing into her brain behind her right eye and it had to be removed so she had that major surgery, 11 doctors/ surgeons and 4 nurses, and then had to have a follow up smaller surgery as they forgot to drain the sinus's on the left side of her head so it took a while for basic recovery and she is only allowed out of the house as of this up comming week hence I can hit GD so it has been a wild ride. Couple that with trying to push the business and such in the gaming community it has been nuts as of late.

It was but it was a revolutionary procedure that helped her. The bone removal was only part of it as they had to put balloons into her sinus's to remove infected tissue and stuff. It was a 3-4 hour procedure but was worthwhile in the end. We got lucky that the doctor we finally ended up with was the innovator of the procedure.

In other aspects I started on Bilbo today for my lord of the rings entry. Very few know this but LOTR is some of my favorite models and was actually my very first entry into GD back in 2006. I didn't win of course but it was something I have loved for a long time. Side note it was the staff category and famed slayer sword winner Thomas Schadle was the judge and though I didn't win he gave me some great advice back then. It wasn't until my 3 shot at demon in 2010 that I actually won my first trophey and here's hoping for a few more ;).
