Emperor\'s Children Champ w/ Banner

I found myself between commission projects and started wondering what I would be able to do with my Emperor\'s Children project now. So I dug up one of the WHF champion banner I\'d bought and put together a marine. So far I\'m pretty happy.

I would, of course, love some feedback. A long way to go so anything to help along the way is most welcome.

Hmmm what to say , nice freehand , and you have put a lot of effort into it... But it isn\'t a Slaaneshi banner - It\'s not dark, evil, and wicked... It looks like some sort of japanese comic character You know what I mean?

oye. Yeah I have a Slaaneshi unit, when I decide to paint them, they won\'t be purple, or pink. I think those colors are kind of... over-used and usually just boring now-a-days. The banner? I don\'t think it even fits GW sculpts. I can only see it fitting if you took like a bunch of GW militia from Fantasy Warhammer, and made a \"parade\" diorama. Then it might fit. Its nice. Its better than my freehand. Its out of place though.

Is there a reason you used that type of artwork?

Hehe, Betty Boop. Actually a piece inspired by one of the gothic artists I like.

The piece still has daemonette arms coming for it. Should add a touch of slaanesh.

Very much not going for chaotic - dark maybe - cartooney for sure - but I didn\'t want to do up another snarling face, or press mould some daemonette heads on to it. [edit:] These things just wind up on a shelf -- so I\'m simply painting something that I will enjoy looking at every time I sit down to paint.

I have 3 more banners though - and a pile o\' Chaos Marines - anyone have suggestions on more banners? It\'s all practice for me.
