hi guys! i have finally taken the plunge and decided to try something a little tricky.
I\' like to know what you think about this wip (at the moment it is stuck together with blu-tack) most of the green stuff has been done, just wondering what you guys think before i start slapping the paint over it.

Is always funny how Finn always tells us how lazy he is, then proceeds to post links, look up old threads, etc. etc..

The Emperor\'s champ does look good...He has a great pose, and looks very itimidating! Can\'t wait till it is painted...

Not quite convinced on the flaming sword, but that might work out nicely once its painted. The steps on the base are very good and the head is fantastic, what is the head based on?

I really like this conversion. Some really neat ideas in there! The one thing I find baffling is that while it looks like all chaos markings have been removed (as well they should be) that is still unmistabely a chaos back pack. AFAIK, the Space Wolves are the only chapter known to use that backpack, and then only their half-damned 13th company...

And this is your first conversion?!? :eek:

I\'m going to hate to see what you accomplish once you get some experience...

The backpack\'s not a chaos one but an early (Pre-Heresy) style.
I like the conversion but am not convinced that the sculpted kneepads are right at the moment.
Still it\'s a very brave attempt and will look good painted up.

the head is one of the chaos heads that comes in the sprue. I think its the one that Ms Haye used on her nurgle marine paintathon thingy. only i chopped it up a bit and made the face more like a plough shape. everything in it comes from the chaos marine boxed set. even the steps were made from the strips on the sprue (linky jobbies)

I like the sculpture a lot. My only problem with it is that he is armed with a power fist, which emperor\'s champions don\'t use. I suppose that only matters if you actually play 40K.
