Just finished the Emperors Champion really really enjoyed painting this though the favourite bit was probably making the plaster of paris base and carving it up. This is the first of the models for a squad entry for GD UK 2013. Thanks to Will for the inspiration of his excellent squad.

Nice Andy, but I hope you don't mind but I'm seeing what looks like rough paint on the White shoulder pad around the Maltese cross.
I'm hoping its just the photo, but if not it'll need addressing.
If it is the photo, stop using the phone. :smile-big:

No it's not rough paint its rough cast tried to file it smooth but couldn't get the file all the way into the edge without filling off the lip of the shoulder pad so what you seeing is a shadow. I will try and do something I'm thinking watered down milliput smooth it over and repaint over the top when dry. What do you think as an idea?

err actually on second glance there is some rough paint on the back of the pad ....eagle eyes mate!

Well for some reason it stood out more on my Touchpad than it does on the laptop.
(Either that or the coffee I had yesterday lunchtime did something to my eyes. It did seem stronger than normal, maybe the girls were being generous again :bulgy-eyes:. )

Ha I hope so :wink:, went back over the paint and smoothed it out some and after some other advice spent some more time smoothing the blends on the sword/armour. I need this crit as its going to be part of a competition piece. Cheers mate :good:

Love it Andy, but your WIP photos actually look better to me than the ones you submitted to the gallery which are a tad dark.
