hi, i just finished painting the 1st of my 2 new wizards, i didn\'t paint much detail, but 4 my army i think this should look wicked.very happy,

Good solid reds! What paints did you use? Black/white undercoat?

it was basecoated black then i airbrushed on scab red, and the blood red, i then painted scab red into the crevices and did a little higlhlighting with orange

Cool.The airbrushing must be a good trick for a solid basecolor.

Love the flames EXCEPT the blacklining at the bottom of them on the sword... ???

GORGEOUS red. For the flames I would not go to black, they almost look like tattered flags. A flame dosent get black. Go from the white thru yellow and end up with a good bright orange. Blend where the fire meets the sword. Probably too late but the sword in his left hand.....the flames are going down.

@ shawn R.L. i know the flames are going down, but i imagined him to be swingin the sword from behind him to infront of him,

@dan that weird blacklining was a bit of an accident and i couldn\'t be bothered to go back over it

I think maybe he was trying to get a sense that he was swinging the sword, although the flames still wouldn\'t point downwards.
