I bought some Empire Wizards today, the new ones (which i was totally ripped off on, £15 for 2 plastics), and was wanderin wat to do with them. I wanted 2 do something out of the ordinary with them, but nothing too challenging. Any Ideas???

painting them would help, burt you don\'t need to do a mega conversion to be creative, just use all the accesories on the sprue as much as looks good, and remember less is sometimes more especially with accesories

You should also post this is a more relevant forum (Painting and Conversions). Sorry, the blatant disregard for topic and whatnot just annoys me. It doesn\'t take a genius to read the forum title.

I think theres a conversion tutorial on black gobbo somewhere, that should then get your monies worth

And GW prices are not good :flame:

Take them back to GW, explain you willingly purchased them just a few days ago for £15, but that £15 is a rip off. Demand that the staff member takes the models you were happy to buy for £15 back and reimburses you the full £15 for not stopping you from willingly purchase models you wanted and spent £15 on that are so obviously a rip off because they cost £15. Take your £15 and spend it on enough paper and pens to write:

\'I will not willingly buy miniatures for £15 and then come here and whine I got ripped off because they cost me £15 of my own money that I was quite willing to part with on a boxed set of wizards that cost £15.\'

Er, then take a dump on a swan.

Wow man. This cracked me up. It certainly is out of the ordinary. I suppose the difficulty depends on the size of the bitz. Lets hope there aren\'t too many swords and pointy fliberdy-gibbets!

laughed so hard
lollol
make a diorama of the two wizards fighting

mix and match, see wat looks good, what could work together... i\'d try not to stick to the \"elements\" theme (eg. fire, death, light wizard etc.)... i had a lot of trouble painting these cuz they have a LOt of hard to reach places (inside the cloak)

Or do we really want to know?

Mind you he could always take a Dump in the GW store as a Tit for Tat thing. :|~

Well he said he wanted to do something a bit out of the ordinary and I was making a reference to this too (although I somehow managed to censor the language somewhat, despite my sleep deprived state ensuring the rest of my post was perhaps a tad mean sounding. And sorry if that was the case thetalkingchimp, I am just messing!)

I have an idea... something I tried on my art lessons... don\'t know if it works on a mini though... however.... you if have some aquarell paint or other bottle paint... whatever.. get some paint... a blank sheet of paper... and start clotting right on, just whatever comes up in your mind... it shall not look like anything... just throw on paint...

then you start looking at what you have created (or whatever you have done) and get your inspiration from that! maby it\'s a colour you done, or a certain colour combination that you like, or maby it sets a mood for the mini.

I think it would be really cool to see what you can create with this technique :)

Perhaps another technique would be to paint blindfolded. Ok, so I haven\'t done that but we did have to draw the chicken that was in the cage with our eyes closed and using a single continuous line.

Then he was ripped off lol Next time just order off the online store than go somewhere where they jack up the price :flame:

GW stuff is expensive enough without going somewhere they mark up the price by 50%. When we did have an independant store they didn\'t charge any more.
