Ok so since it's been a while I figured I would post my WIP's as hey, why not. So here is the a chaos sorcerer I am painting for kicks. I still have a long way too go as I still need too go back and fix the armor and certain spots on the face and the purple but hey it's for fun and practice so why not right.

Really like the peachy colour on the dress, how did you do it?

P3 paints honestly.

I have heard good things about P3 paints, particularly for wet blending. I use Vallejo and I am reluctant to switch because of the sheer number of Vallejo paints I have.

You dont necessarily have to switch, I use Vallejo, GW, VMC, Tamiya and whatever I can beg, borrow and steal. Its just a matter of what works for you. I guess its what you also used to using the most, for me its GW.

Yeah, just switch gradually as you run out of colors or they dry up.

nice peachy colour indeed. currently the details merge a bit it seems, more shading is needed below the face and metal parts espescially. but a nice start!

I actually threw it out today as it's hard when you loose total motivation on something. The pic wasn't the best but if I had angled it better you could see the shading too it and the seperation. I enjoyed where the pants were heading but I just could not get the armor too work after 15 hours of work on it. I realized that if I didn't start too see the model take shape then I never would. If I do one of these again I would remove the trim and just do true metallics. That said I have a few things going on right now. Namely I am tackling a space worlves forge world dred that I have had since last adepticon. I will post pics tonight on it.

Long long time since I posted into this thread but I thought I would show some extremely early WIP pictures of a Studio Mcvey model I have had for a while now and wanted to paint. I am hoping he will be done for Templecon so as to compete him in the Coolmini contest there but if not I will bring him to Adepticon either way.

Frontal view, now I know for the moment he appears pink but long term he will actually be very dark as I am doing something similar to how Mathieu Fontaine did his Chaos Ogre as I sat long and hard and ended up deciding on that color for the skin.

I started work on the army and chest and I do my shading first then highlighting then balance. Being this model is 90% skin this will be a process but I intend to add some veins and tattoos to balance out the empty spaces as this will also be some new practicing for me with freehand.

Rear view, and yes "Stampy", as I have so lovingly named it, is anatomically correct, though uncircumcised.....

A close shot on the chest, well that is it for now as always C&C welcome.

Not only is Stampy uncircumcised, but also quite well endowed it would seem. Must be all the cake. If you're doing pink with veins, make sure you've read through the last few pages of Skelettet's WIP. He's been doing something similar, and it's VERY informative.

Ok so I suck at doing updates but that's ok as I have been working on Stampy as well as other stuff so at least I'm doing something. Anyways here he is C&C welcome as I still have a longggggggggggggg, breath, ggggggggggggggggggggggg way to go on him.

Because of the size I broke him down into sections for the skin so I still have the back, both hands, legs, head and his special area.
