Ok, so it wasn\'t the prettiest of games and whilst I agree it certainly was one we should have won it wasn\'t the worst performance we have ever seen (remember Northern Ireland?)
I think everyone is guilty of not giving Macedonia a bit of respect, (I certainly thought we would walk this and had a couple of quid on us to win 3-0 down the bookies) and I think the team and management did too. Full credit to Maccedonia for making a game of it- they certainly deserved a draw.
Some of the passing in midfield was dire- the usually spot on Gerrard looked poor (apart from that fantastic shot- if only it was half an inch lower!) And I don\'t think Lampard has had a decent game since before the world cup.
Nevville was unlucky not to have scored in the first half, and should have buried his chance, although to be fair he is a defender.
Rooney is still not at his best, but is showing signs of improving if he could just get a goal under his belt...
We looked a better side in ther 2nd half when Sean Wright Phillips came on and ran at their defence- hope to see more of this on Wednesday night, and need to play it wide more and get a decent service to the strikers.
We are still top of the group however, and as for all this talk about not even qualifying? Have a word!!!
