Fear the Crooked Eye
Hello everyone! Hope your summer has been as enjoyable as mine so far. We've had some hot sunny weather and it's been a lot of fun hanging out with the kids. I did take a little mini-vacation of my own to head out to Gen-Con. It's always a good time but this year was especially nice as all my entries placed and my Privateer Press entry won the Grandmaster competition. Pics of that on the way, but in the meantime here are some pictures of a really characterful sculpt from Enigma.
His eyes were a challenge, the sculpt has a two-face issue where the halves don't match, but I resculpted a bit to try and make them match up a little better. The rest of the face is great though and it's a fun piece to try NMM on as well. The base was an experiment with zenithal priming and it was a success in my eyes, though tough to see in the pics.
There was a lot of quality entries in the main competition but he managed to snag third place in the single figure category and the special "Best Dwarf" prize, recipient of the soon-to-be-published "Dwarven Cookbook".
