Ok I am still working on different flesh combos and NMM so hes my next figure. A very nice warlord from Eolith very clean figure sharp details will enjoy painting this
colours are all GW bestial brown base, tanned flesh then dwarf flesh, scad red then dark red/brown ink then bleached bone. Think I will put some purple in shade and may go higher on highlights.
edit; have changed pictures

I regret to say that I can\'t see much as the pics are so small. I used to be the ame, but just remember that the less you hide, the more we help! But from what I can see, you have a good contrast going, and warm flesh.

you can still do that with big pics, stack them on top of each other and go down the page, if you\'re brave enough you can go right up to 600 pixels wide :D

I reall think the kneeguard is the best part. Th pics are pretty close up so I can\'t tell if your blends are rough, but looks good now.

I really like it. Looks great...but if you look on his left forearm, you have some of the gray on his skin. Thats an easily noticeable mistake but other than that I think it looks great.

Nice one Exiles, NMM is a technique I\'m quite happy to leave until I\'m happy with my metallics and then quite possibly I\'ll find another excuse, so bravo for diving in there. I voted on him over the weekend.

A couple of thoughts for your third try: I wonder if a couple of glazes might help to blend your blending if you see what I mean (boots & glove). I think your choice of colour for the trousers is too close to the flesh, it took me a while to work out that his legs were clothed at all, I couldn\'t see why you hadn\'t highlighted his legs to the same degree as his chest! Did you paint the back of his cloak? If yes, let\'s see it then! If not, I assume that no metal means no NMM practice so why waste the time? And so as to finish on a positive, my favourite bit, oddly enough, is his right hand, just the colours, the highlights, & the nails really work for me!

Is the holy grail of NMM painting to post a pic & be asked \"wow, is that real metallics or NMM \'cos I can\'t tell?\"?
