Epic Adventures

DM of Doom

It\'s time for the time-crunched DM to go about seeking resources again...
Two notes to preface my question, though. A) I\'ve already checked out (and bookmarked and used) the random dungeon genrators mentioned in another thread. B) I know I\'m being slightly hypocritical when I ask, but I can justify later.

Does anyone know where a guy can score adventures suitable for Epic-level D&D 3.5 characters (24th-26th lvl)?

Yes, I\'m fully capable of writing adventures for them (storylines, etc.) and I have several nice (i.e. nasty) campaign plotlines in mind/in motion. My problem is adversaries worthy of the PCs talent.

Not so much creating them (I read the rules, I know how), but it can take forever.
Sure, a spellcasting mindflayer with a couple of templates can have a cranking CR, but they\'re pretty hard to come up with on the fly...

Plus, everyone is eager to play, like yesterday. If I had a module (even if I needed to switch some of it up) it\'d be nice to use to \"hold them off\" until I can get my own stuff together.

Any help would be appreciated!

Highlevel is always a drag todo as it the DMs work load goes exponantally as the levels go up. That said the last three issuses of dungeon mag had how to DM on the fly articles that were particularlly helpful to time pressed DMs with high level campaigns. Check out Dungeon 130, pg 92 \"The math of Winging it\" It was a great eyeopener for me, on the quick an dirty howtos of upping monster levels. Also you should give out more story awards and up the RP as the levels go up because: 1st the combats at high level take way longer and are more intense than at low level, and Second a few story awards will reduce the number of fully detailed combat encounters you\'ll need for your epic adventure. Lastly steal all the BBEGs from the low level adventures and recycle them! That tough EL 19 dragon boss monster can be recycled into being the mount for your new epic boss monster.

Okay that is the third post I have lost today due to no subject... sonofa...

Okay won\'t be as verbose this time:

Great site for content and stuff, may find something here:
http://www.dndadventure.com/

Personally really want to try out Mongoose\'s Drow War trillogy that is supposed to have some epic level play at the end:
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/detail.php?qsID=946

Monte Cook has a bunch of free stuff on his site including modules, not sure what level, but may be worth it just to get inspiration from the master:

If you want more, I can check my bookmarks at home.

Probably too late, by now, but when it comes to the Epic Levels...

Dragons. Big, ancient dragons.
The tarrasque is also a good \'kill \'em all\' option.
Or you could always drive them right up the wall by running \'Deathtrap Dungeon\' with powered up traps. :)

I\'m late here, but try looking at modules for other systems.
I had fun once running my Runequest group through a D&D module. Just make monster substitutions and everything else works (though you might have a hard time explainging to your D&D players why the local bartender is a talking duck).

You could have them fall into a portal to the abyss with a mage friend. They have to fight hundreds of daemons until the mage can cast a spell that takes them back to the material plane.

If thats too easy then have the spell send them to some remote, gods forsaken island and they have to find thier way back :D
