All this will be in the hold, so taking the blades (which are sealed up as well) and files on the flight shouldn\'t be a problem.

Would it be better to take the paints in hand luggage and carry them on the flight?

Good idea about ditching the superglue, should be easy enough to pick up over there.

i can tell ya right now, the most important thing is the sleepin\' bag, and a few changes of clothes(especially socks)...last priority should be the paints and figs...your off on an adventure, and don\'t know where it will lead...a change of socks, and a bag to lay out under the stars in is top priority!!!

To right! I\'v got my sleeping bag and bivvy sorted. I\'m ready to go Ray Mears style through the Spanish undergrowth haha!

Woah, besides thinking about packing your bag for Europe there also must be many other stuff running through your brain, right? Yep, loads of things! haha!
I hope you have a real good time in Spain and if you ever get the idea of going to the dark wild east of Europe, f.e. Austria. Just P.M. me and I can help you here. :)

As for taking colours. Most oft the best colour companies ARE in Spain, Vallejo, Molotov, Montana ...don\'t know why that is, but perhaps you can go to a factory and buy from company shop for half the price you would pay in Canada!? Or perhaps they are already cheap in Spanish shops.

I\'m hoping there will be a little modelling shop out there. And if not there is definitely one in Malaga (bout 45mins bus journey away) so getting extra paints etc shouldn\'t really be a problem.

And just found out there is a GW.

So I definitely won\'t be short on supplies.

Doesn\'t matter from the safety standpoint. All the old worries about pressure changes in the hold (that your parents might have warned you about, mine did!) are irrelevant in modern planes.

Personally, with modern security being what it is I think stuff like this is safer carried in the hold luggage as there it\'s much less likely to be confiscated by an ignorant/over-zealous security officer.

Something that just occurred to me

The quality of the light is very different where you\'re going to where you\'re from. Be interesting if during your time there your painting style changes a bit as a consequence.

All my paints, super glue etc flew back from the Falklands with me as hold baggage and didn\'t suffer as a result.
The only thing they seem to worry about these days is batteries and pressurised tins such as sprays so you shouldn\'t have any worries with putting paints in your hold baggage.

And as Einon has said it will probably be safer and less likely to be questioned.

Yes I had that problem with Martyn\'s Foundation Paints travelling to Salute last Year.
It was me got the strop on with a Jobsworth then. Still Martyn got his paints though. :D
