Where in the US does someone order etched brass foliage? Is H&A the only manufacturer left?

Well I brought it and then promptly stuffed it in a drawer, but I am sure there are other more hobby related uses....lollol

Just curious: what scale is a 28mm mini?
They talk about about 1/35 scale, and I really have no idea of what kind of math I need to figure this out :)

25mm= 1\" approx.
1 inch is 5 feet (60\") in scale = 1:60 (that is the terrain scale from D&D 1\"=5\') Also this is very close to \"S\" scale for model trains.

most of the 1/35 stuff works good for the 50-60mm stuff.
6\'/35 = 52mm

If you can\'t find any, I wrote a demo on ething things a while back:
Part 1
part 2

And be carefull, etching fluid is a nasty chemical and difficult to clean from you clothes.

Good question! Nominal scales - height measures for models - are a problem because they relate to some arbitrary standard height that varies from individual to individual and over time (e.g. on average we are taller now than a century ago).

Without going into why we can assume an average height of 1.73m (5\'8\") for figure calculation so 28mm works out to roughly 1/62 if you want to work to scale. The ratio is actually 1:61.79 if you require greater accuracy.

Thank you airhead and Einion!

Of course I\'m even more confuse now, but at least I know now what scale to look for :)

As far as scales, a lot of plastic models are done in 1/64th which is very close to our 25 mm as well and useful for things like D&D Modern or D&D Historical.

Much of the etched foliage available is geared towards 1/35 or larger scales, however, remember that plants don\'t always grow to a fixed scale, so there\'s somew flexibility here.

Another thought - Tamiya are now producing an increasing range of 1/48 scale kits, and the brass manufacturers may well produced reduced versions of their foliage for this scale - even more perfect and giving more variation for mini purposes
