Euro Militaire; new Fantasy category

the rumours have been true;

For single or multiple foot or mounted fantasy figures and creatures including vignettes, dioramas and boxed dioramas on a scenic base (base size restrictions for dioramas and boxed dioramas apply as in other Classes). Special credit will be given for scratch built and converted work PROVIDED THAT \'evidence\' sic. is supplied. A figure or creature may have more than one related animal, but scale is limited to 120mm maximum because of space restrictions.
This is a NEW CLASS introduced this year and competitors in this Class are reminded that the Show is visited by the public of all ages and \'girlie\', vulgar and horror subjects considered by the organizers to be \'in bad taste\' will be disqualified and removed from view. Military and Civilian subjects are not eligible in this Class.

good news.......although this year it clashes with Gamesday, but in the future..........

This is pretty cool but isnt Euro Militare a one day show on the Saturday Sept 23 befor GD,mean a lot of traveling about but one could hit them both.

Where does it take place? and how is it judged (3 prizes per category or a panel voting system like Monde du Jeur)?

Wow, that\'s cool.

Does this mean any manufacturers minis are eligible for the category (for those of us who can\'t sculpt our own entries).

This is an important development, if the category takes off, it could be a great alternative to GD for fantasy display minis

Still in Folkestone, in the Leas Cliff Hall (it\'s actually in a cliff, looking out over the English channel; 2 bars on site; more traders than you can imagine , lots of hotels and B&Bs around. Drinking to the wee small hours)

Multiple awards per split categories (gold, silver, bronze, highly commended, commended) One year in the busiest category (54mm painted historicals) only 2 golds were awarded but lots of bronzes.

It\'s completely open; any manufacturer (last year the \"fantasy shoe-in\" category had Rackham, Andrea, CMON , An Adrian Bay scratchbuildy piece + others)

It is very good news.

Hey Rob is their info posted anywhere about the event. i may not be able to enter but I would still love to try and see it.

For me its one or the other,as there both on the same weekend . I will go to Games Day instead of Euro,( which I feel a bit bad about as I am one of the judges who pushed for a fantasy class).Just unfortunate they fell on the same weekend. Though I am really looking forward to to meeting loads of CMONers at Birmingham this year. :D GOD bless .............VINCENTI
