No insult intended...

It\'s all political and has very little to do with music. Two years ago when we joined you going into Iraq we got \'nil points\' too. Mind you, our act was crap, but generally the UK gets reasonable votes regardless.

And, when did Israel become part of Europe I\'d like to know???

I guess if Turkey can be part of Europe you guys have to be fair and take-in a Jewish community too. ;)

It\'s all about political correctness these days.

So, I had assumed this Euro-thingie was like our American Idol contest. Was I incorrect? ???

I thought it would never end, 24 countries with entries and 39 casting votes!

Norway were like Whitesnake wannabes, just awesome:bouncy:

It\'s great how everybody votes for their neighbours and not the song.

Well, my personal favorite was Moldova. The band\'s called \"Zdob si Zdub\" and it\'s very famous not only in their country, but in other ex-Soviet states as well despite the fact that most of their songs are in Romanian. I even voted for them lol I think they\'ve put up a great show, too bad they didn\'t even make it to top three.

As for Russia, well, the chick is more or less okay, she does have some voice and looks, but I think the choice of the song was not exactly appropriate for the occasion.

Amongst the others, I liked Norway and Latvia.

My faves, Norway, Moldavia and Ukraine, in that order. New tones for the old song contest, for sure!

Germany...the singer looked hot, tht song was 50/50.

That tell me alot. Is it just singing, or do they do other forms of entertainment?

And Russia is also part of Europe now? ???

That continent keeps getting bigger every year! lol

Hmmmm... I know the former USSR was part of Asia, and Russia being it\'s \'capital\' I had always assumed that was also part of Asia. So basically, a European nation ruled over an Asian \'republic\'. From a purely (ugly) American point of view, we lost interest in Russia after the cold war, so I didn\'t notice it \'going back\' to Europe on our maps. To much \'border shifting\' in other parts of the world, the world map I have hanging in my office is from the \'70s. lol

(BTW - just \'cause we lost interest in their country, doesn\'t mean we lost interest in Russian figure skaters, ballet, and most importantly... painters) ;)

Not only is Russia part of Europe, but so is apparently Israel...

Am I the only one in the entire world who actually liked Germany\'s song?

I\'m still uncertain as to whether the Danish guy was actually Ronan Keating in disguise...
