The elephant guy looks like he\'s white with a black wash. Perhaps a higher contrast between the shadows and highlights would help before the wash is applied. I recently painted an elephant and ran across the same problem. The NMM on the cyborg looks great, and the Genie is done very well too. That same mini is in my To Paint line-up right now.
.....that first one is stunning,flippin\' quick paint times too,you\'d think more time was spent for sure! The blade on it is crispy *Mick Jagger-voice* I like it a lot!
Spacemunkie,
When you were prepping the Genie, did it look to you that he should have a topknot attached to the flat part on his head? Their website isn\'t responding, so I can\'t look at their original. Also, I have the Ogre Butcher up next on the chopping block (so to speak ). It\'ll be a few days yet before mine go up. Sorry to be posting some of the same minis as you in such a short time.
Eyecatching colors on that genie! Actually, I didn\'t really like this one when just looking at it on the MSB site but seeing it painted up like that really makes me re-think it.
And only 4 hours painting?! You\'re truckin\' along there.
Yup.
We got a batch of minis a couple weeks ago, and have started painting them. Jim finished the cyborg and werewolf. His cyborg looks totally different from yours. I like them both, actually. Your NMM turned out really nice.
It\'s fun to see how different people can make the same mini look so different.
Now I can\'t wait to finish the Genie so I can show it to you.
