I don\'t know if you have seen this latest piece from Matt Verzani, but I just noticed (well, I think I\'m correct) a huge mold line right on top of the staff.

Please correct me if I\'m worng, because it\'s always risky to make this kind of \"accusations\" towards a master like Verzani.

That\'s true, everyone makes mistakes. But this is just a very big moldline, that isn\'t particularly very well hidden

actually, i think it was a dark elf converison done for an article for dwarf. I left the hand off because the shield would fit better that way, and you couldn\'t see the arm at all, due to said shield. It also saved me half a day in filing/painting hand, and saving time is crucial....it\'s not as bad as not painting the backs of models though.... Mind you, i don;t do shortcuts anymore, now I don\'t have a manager breeathing down my back ocnstantly...just my customers

Would that be the Dark elf noble on steed? I seem to remember that being a pretty cool article

Anyhow, back on topic, if that is a mold line on the top of the staff, and to be honest it looks like it is, it doesn\'t exactly scream out at you, you\'d have to be looking for mistakes to spot it, so I don\'t think it\'s that much of a big deal

Yes, it\'s a kelt drune. It\'s a charecter of the Lanyphs of the Dark Woods (or something).

There are plenty of times that I have thought that I have gotten all the mould lines out and yes even the ones that are glaringly obvious once painted sometimes slip through.
I think that what happens is that you put all your effort into the paintwork and when you come accross one of the sneaky buggers you don\'t have the heart to start digging into your paintwork (well that\'s sometimes true for me anyway). We are all human after all and are prone to the occaisional mistake.
