eversor assaasin goes medieval

Hi all i've returrned to to the hobby after 10 years away one of my last projects i was going to do years back was a mordheim/fantasay version of 40k eversor assassin but never got to it. Im not too bad with milliput and sculpting but on a budget this time round any ideas and advice on where to start and how to get back into the craft on a tight tight budget.

Dwarf slayer with a green stuffed skull mask? Axe in one hand and a flintlock pistol in the other. Guess I see that the 'closest' thing to eversor's role of human guided missile/suicide killer. I do think that GW has a assassin fig that looks/feels close to the eversor, want to say that it had something to do with that pirate captain they did a couple of years ago.
