Let\'s see, I will be 30 this year, that would make the guy 21. No thank you. I\'m perfectly happy with my man and his age, which is actually a few months older than me. The early 20\'s are usually a stage of life I\'m not really interested in dealing with anymore.

manus,

considering the fact that i still like my nether regions, the idea of cheating on my wife would put those in serious jeopardy.

I\'m 31! It\'s all down hill from here...I\'m just waiting to die and stuff. I really don\'t think I was supposed to live past 30, but then I had a son, and well here I am, luckily. I don\'t want to come across as emo or goth so I\'ll just change subjects now lol

The \"half your age plus 7\" isn\'t the perfect age formula is it? I thought that was the MINIMUM age you could go out with...according to the code? Brownies for anyone who knows where that is from. ???

its just that most of the time i get to paint.

so with that.....

:p:moon::p

Get a job, hippie! :D

But seriously, it\'s an alien idea to me. I can imagine my boss saying, \"can I have a word?\" before she beat the shite out of me. lol

[Bitter sarcasm]......... I suppose at 52 I\'m just waiting for the undertaker to come and pick up my decomposing corpse then. ??? [/Bitter sarcasm]

@reverend; I see two things that the policy of leaving a student teacher in a class is intending to promote: Self Reliance and the ability to manage groups of kids.
Having taught I know that one of the worst things is trying to carry out a lesson to your plan with another teacher in the room observing you. Not only can it \"Throw you off\" but often the pupils refer or act up to the original teacher.
So it looks \"off\" to be doing what he\'s doing and wouldn\'t work in the real business world, but remember that it\'s the spawn of the devils she, and Uberdark, are dealing with........High School Kids. lol

I always wondered, do teachers get paid during the summer when school is out? Taking less pay during the school year. Or do they have to find another job, take employment insurance/workers compensation, or live off their good looks? I guess I just figured it\'s such a vital position there are probably some sort of special measures or conditions in place for them. If more people agreed I imagine they\'d get paid twice as much as they do now, though.

Didn\'t mean to offend any of the wise, experienced and enlightened! I owe you a beer (or milk and cookies if beer isn\'t your thing) the next time you\'re in Ottawa for my transgression. :beer: Come on, you know 30 is the first time most people feel old, I\'m just not over it yet, I\'m slow, it\'s almost 2 years past the b\'day. (I won\'t blame my old age on my deteriorating brain function!)

:~( here in San Diego teachers have to find a summer job, the schools don\'t pay unless you\'re teaching.

Or they go on unemployment like my sister in law.

When I was a kid my dad, a music teacher, got paid durring the summer. We\'d go travelling around the US for 2 months at a time. Road trips rock!

Here is VA they get a choice: bigger checks for 10 months or even disbursement for 12. My wife (a choral director at a high school) opts for the 12 month option.

Interesting. Does that mean she can\'t get unemployment if she took the larger cheques for 10 months? Because I\'d go for that and get a few bucks more per year from EI if I could choose, Assuming I wouldn\'t have to pay anything back later on. EI is such a scam, at least around here, it\'s different everywhere though, afaik, so who knows about other areas.

Over here the teachers get paid 12 months but often get a lump payment at the start of the summer holiday..............Ah poor darlings having to manage on all that extra cash for 6 weeks. Bitter Bitter Sarcasm, as I heard one Senior Advisory Teacher complaining about not being able to manage on only £3000 per month. Perhaps she should sell her 30 foot yacht and or her brand new Saab. {I kid you not she has both!}

And accepted, but I might just smack you upside the head with it when your back\'s turned.;):evil::twisted: lol

Wow, gotta love lost perspective!

That would be over $6000 or is it $7500, in Canada, which is getting into high class status either way, even in some of the more expensive cities to live in, like Ottawa. No idea how the living expenses there scale to here. Regular, in the classroom, teachers make nothing like that I assume? They\'re underpaid everywhere aren\'t they?

I feel I should start some sort of movement for teachers, I don\'t know why but I feel for them. Of course I won\'t because they can choose their career and I\'m not the type, but I want to, and that\'s the important thing, right?

/backs out of the room slowly.
