Evil Dave's WoK Goritsi

I finished these guys up last week but forgot to take a picture at my desk (so the lighting isn't great).

So this is squad two, and Lord Hob is nearly done now as well (just needs grass and maybe some gore on his mace). I'm hoping to get to that this weekend and start back up on Iron Eyes before moving on to the Skorza.

I finished up Lord Hob this morning. I tried out some blood and gore using Tamiya X-27 Clear Red, a black and dark brown. I stippled the mixture onto the mace as it was starting to become tacky.

Iron Eyes is next, then the wolves.

I finished up Iron Eyes this week. My biggest complaint with this model was the lack of detail on the face. Her features were very soft/undefined. I'd be interested to see if there was a resin version and how it compares. Anyway, I think I going to make a slight detour into 10mm in preparation for next Saturday's Warmaster tourney, but after that on to the wolves.

It's been pretty quiet in the update department here. I've been painting a bunch, but just haven't gotten around to taking pictures lately. Here's a slew of pics of the wolves that I took this past Sunday. They're nearing completion, I need to finish up the leather, do the metal, claws and basing and they should be set to go. Hoping to finish them up before CaptainCon so I can put a few colors on the Vampires at least.

Finally finished up the leather on my werewolves, all that's left at this point is claws and metal. I'm hoping to have that finished for CaptainCon the first week of February, as well as some Zeti base coated.

Still working on the wolves, I did their claws this week and started painting all the metal parts gloss black. That's nearly done, not sure if I'll make it for CaptainCon though. Because not a lot on them has changed I've got something else for you guys, my vampires.

I wasn't a fan of the horned heads (I found something I didn't like on all the vampire sculpts) so I asked Bob Naismith (my go-to sculptor for Warmonger Miniatures) to sculpt up some masquerade masks for me. This was the result. I took care of the hair, backs of the heads and the weapon swaps (Wargames Factory spanish cavalry swords).

Finally, this Hestra Nostrollo conversion is all me. I put Hestra's head and hands on a Dark Sword Lannister Lady in Waiting figure. The back from the top of her head to her waist was some of my most extensive putty work to date. I was pretty happy how she came out, so much so that I threw down a base coat and some shading last night. I want to try and paint her dress a pearlescent white, anyone have any tips there? I got some Liquitex Iridescent Medium (which is suppoed to really be pearlescent) to try out.

Really nice work on the lady. The face looks a lot better than the original and if you didn't know you would never guess the model didn't come that way.

I finally finished up my Wrath of Kings Skorza Skirmishers. The specialists aren't too far behind, and after them Lord Anton and Korrad. I'm not 100% with how they came out but they're done. Once the rest of the wolves are finished up it's on to painting the Vampires. Hestra is nearly done as well, although I didn't snap any updated pics of her. Maybe I'll get a chance to finish her over the weekend.
