Hi All,
I am doing this for GD it is the first marine I have painted since rogue traderlol. would like some pointers of where am going wrong

Looking very nice so far. Only problem I can see with it is the model looks a bit rough - not the paintjob. This could be because the paint is too thick or the model wasn\'t well prepped. Sanded and cleaned, etc.

The green lens looks very nice IMO well done!

Personally, I\'d look for opportinities to break up the black of hte armor by painting some of the various bits a slightly different color. Like the piston along the upper arms- you could add some metalics to the smaller rod to add wear where it moves inside the housing. Same for the legs.

have started another marine my first go at NMM I am very happy just one question does anyone have a good base color for the steel NMM

Nice work exile. I\'m liking that sternguard, and the scheme is almost the exact same as mine :) As for NMM steel, a base of adeptus battlegrey with a little black is what I use.

cheers Darkwind have watched your wip and never been good at red so my new policy is to do all the stuff I find hard till I do them better. I have not got the highlights as good as you or the white but I am happy that I am improving (thats what we are all after)

Back from 2 week sumer hol done a bit more on the marine I am using these to try out new things. You can only get better by painting
