Got it!

I just picked four of these up from the post office:

DonQuixote.jpg

The castings are good, no big mold lines. The sculpting is also good, no hyper-details but good definition. The two right legs on the rat mount are separate, going to have to green stuff the gaps between the castings, but that\'s normal, so no points off there. Very nice figure, IMHO.

This mini is a labor of love. The sculptor, Guillermo Centeno, has also arrange for the casting, has probably packaged the mini in its blister, packed the shipping box and wrapped it himself. He even handprinted the shipping information on the box in a very attractive script.

Guillermo also has a website:

GDC Dreams

which showcases his modelling creations (also for sale as assembled and/or painted) plus advertises for custom work in many scales and genre. Nice stuff!

The goblin Don Quixote figure is part of a new line of gaming miniatures he\'s begun to produce, Trifon Miniatures. The website listed on the back of the blister:

www.trifonminiatures.web1000.com

links unfortunately to a porn site which I haven\'t explored further.

Guillermo also states that a companion figure to the goblin Don Quixote, the squire Sancho Panza, will also be available sometime in the future.

More pics of the Don Quixote figure and other sculpted by Guillermo can be found at the original Planet Figure link posted by Ming.

I\'m revved about painting this mini, and, no, I ain\'t no sock puppet!lollollollol

Guillermo is sculpting the companion mini to the goblin Don Quixote -- a Sancho Panez squire figure riding a sheep! There are supposed to be some wip pics coming on a Spanish sculpting forum in the near future, but nothing official has been posted yet.

I\'ve seen the wip pics and he looks very cool!

@ tidoco2222 -- I\'ll be ordering from Guillermo some time not so far in the future, want I should order one for you? They cost 14 euros each, not cheap but not too bad for what is probably a small production run.:)

I gotta get me one of those mid nor babies!

..Or learn to sculpt.. hopefully, the second one. :p

I\'m not so sure about the front legs of the rat, it looks like there\'s no bone structure holding it up. But the rest of the sculpt is both funny and whimsical. My cat gives it two meows! Wait... that just means I have to feed him. . . lol

This figure should be out in a couple of weeks, according to the sculptor, Guillermo Centeno, no exact date.

Directly from wonderful downtown Argentina, Chrispy! Guillermo trying to start a line of minis in the states, but that\'s going to happen first when the available range expands.

For the present minis, he can be reached at the GDC DReams website, the link is somewhere in the thread. I don\'t know if those babies ae available, I think he made them as presents for gamers in his group.

Excuse me, I gotta go read some comics...:D

Hmmm, that is an interesting companion. He is riding on a stuffed animal; does that fit with the Goblin on the rat? Anyway, I guess I will show my progress on my Don Quixote figure that I got from Marineboy in the ME#3 here. I am not done with the nmm and weathering, but this is pretty much what it should look like.

I\'m really enjoying this current trend in miniatures of unique interpretations of fictional works, Alice in wonderland, wizard of oz, and now this. Definately making our hobby that much more interesting and fun. Big cheers to all our sculptors out there creating these outstanding canvases for us painters :)

Love the babies!

All those sculpts were really great. I have to agree with Chrispy, though, because the front legs of that rat don\'t look anatomically possible. ???
