Got some more time for Kirai, update below.

I tried to paint the eyes with a technique that I have seen Ischa use with very good results. http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/showthread.php?47455-bit-of-this-and-that/page7 . Sadly my result was not that good and I didnt get a nice ring from the colour, it instead became a black dot...

I was on my way to redo it but then I put the figure down and looked at it from a distance and decided not to change it. It is after all a tabletop figure in a sense.

Maybe the bow on her belly should not be blue?
I think it would look nice in another colour, white maybe?

Back to the Farseer after some months of collecting dust. small inspiration after posting the article on how I made stars on the back of the farseer. (taken from earlier in this thread)

The update is added snow to the base. small freehand on the back white areas to break it up a little as suggested by someone a long time ago :). I am not sure that I like the result but practise gives knowledge to next time. Picture below are a little bit dark on my screen sorry for that.

Left to do is
- Small strip in bottom of white cloth hanging from the staff.
- gems on top of the helmet 3 on each side
- arm with gun and gun needs to be finished, gems and so on
- touch up on the cloak where neglect and a 5 year old son have removed some colour.

Hopefully the next update will not wait for 5 months :), might even be one within the next couple of days...

Looks real good!
For the gems, for that bottom stripe of highlight, you are mixing your color with a lot of white, correct? Don't do that; white cools down whatever color you are mixing it into, and you want that bottom to be warm and saturated. Put simply, you need brighter mixes of the actual gem color. An easy thing might be adding some yellow into your brightest green, and a red into your brightest violet, if you don't want to pick up more individual paints.
I really like how that gold came out too.

Hi all, this will be one of the last post for me on this thread :)

So far the score on the farseer is around 8 and I am very happy with that. this was a modell where I tried to push my limits and I have raised my skills a lot since I joined here 2010. The best score that I had since before on a figure was 5.9 (painted during end of 2010 I believe)

Thanks for all the comments and help that fixed some unpolished areas, very much appreciated.

I will now go on to start a new thread a more general thread, will start with some of the Malifaux figures that I currently trying to find time to paint, they will be more for playing and not the same effort will be put into them. I also want to start up a project where I get to push my skills again. Haven´t decied what it should be more then OSL and more work with the base and perhaps NMM or a mix of TMM and NMM... welll we will see.

again thanks all for the inspiration that you have brought me.
