for those in the UK wanting try Alex Castro\'s 2 stage priming, Plasti-kote do enamel in both spray and brush on

I picked up the 100ml spray in Hobbycraft today for £2.99
Wilkinsons may do it cheaper

Enamels are not suitable for application directly to plastics, some resins and metal, that is after all what primer is for.
