I paint my thumb.
Very beautiful, the colors are great, so is the face.
Only crit would be that it needs some darklining between parts, ie where the belt meets the skin or where the sleeves end, maybe some more definition to the hair too.

Hi Ed209, this is obviously a very skillfully painted mini & as others have said the face is particularly nice.

I was hoping somebody else would pose this question though as I think it may appear foolish but, I don't understand the red bits? From another comment I infer it's a light source but where is it? I just can't read it at all. Very frustrating, I can see the skill, everything must be very carefully placed but it doesn't work for me :( Is this just one of those different folks for different (brush) strokes things or am I completely missing something?

I might just add that the two rear shots of the bottle really do work for me :) very pretty indeed.

Cheers, B.

I've left a very long comment on the piece, if you want me to explain where I am coming from please feel free to PM me.

I think you're a bloody good painter, but there are areas on this look unfinished and a bit half-arsed. Some areas are breath taking!

B+ for attainment, D- for effort! You should be getting A+...

Quite ture, given one more day several areas could be improved, but my Xmas holidays are about to end ,must finish it here ,maybe some rework in the futrue.

The part I can explain is most time my intention is to create some color combination/composition ,that give people a kind of feeling , the correct lighting position is secondary cosideration and to show every light source in the mini is even less important to me, what I need are the colors they cast on the mini, so if you arent catched by the colors on it, you probably wont like it at all, it's simply the matter of personal taste;)

Thx, my purpose on this one is mostly a color experiment ,plus the time I can spend on it is limited. In fact I dont like the sculpture except the body part after painted it, it's an average model but not great, which made my decision end it here.

btw I couldnt find your comment anywhere, some help ?

very nice. esp. the greens. my main beef is her right arm. it kinda' looks like her arm is turning in to a sleeve, because the grey of her cloths and skin have blended together (unlike on her other arm).
