I actually don\'t eat or drink anything when painting. However once i\'m waiting for a paint layer to dry anything in reach is fair game to be munched away.

Munchies are varied. The one thing I have as a constant is good strong tea. This morning it\'s Earl Grey. Darjeeling, Assam, Ceylon, Gunpowder, Oolong, English/Irish Breakfast.

BTW - these are candy corn. Usually see them this time of year - Thanksgiving and Halloween candy.

Ever take candy corn and impale a pumpkin pie with a bag of them? It\'s crazy good.

I had to start using plastic sandwich containers for paint water just so I\'d stop drinking my rinse water; even switching my drinking glasses to huge mugs didn\'t help.

Not a sweetie muncher while painting ...has to be a cup o tea in a pint pot (aged and broken in...you know the type....one that saw a sink a few years ago).
or a couple of beers to get the creative juices flowing.

I normally just have copious amounts of tea. Usually it\'s nearly cold as I\'ll make it and then get into the painting groove. If I do have food I tend to have chocolate. i do prefer crisps but I find they\'re a bit too greasy for painting as it can get on the models.

I\'m another of the \"don\'t eat while painting\" types. While waiting for layers to dry I\'ll have a cigarette (bad I know) and a non-candy snack.

For sweets, in general, I like chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered gummi bears, or Petridge Farms double chocolate Millanos. Notice a pattern. : ) If I have a soda/pop/cola it\'s Cherry Coke (can or fountain, no plastic) or Rum (preferably Sailor Jerry\'s) and Coke. Very rarely I\'ll have a Mountain Dew.

I don\'t eat when I paint. I\'m a brush licker so I don\'t want any food getting in my paints via the brush.

I generally have a glass of water next to me when I\'m painting but often it just sits there, still mostly full by the end of my painting session.

I have made a cup of tea a couple of times while I\'m painting but I didn\'t really like it as I couldn\'t lick my brushes to shape them to a point!

I haven\'t made the mistake of drinking my paint water yet as I use a big gerkin jar for my water. I have nearly dipped my paintbrush in my cup of tea before though!

I just poured some Classic Bubblegum in my mouth after accidentally tasting some W&N Brush Cleaner, Rastl. That stuff\'s a lifesaver.

Minus the hard candy shell, of course.

hehehe, im so glad this thread has become so popular :) Its even got that little flame thingy next to it on the main page! Thats so cool :)

Food for thought? Yes indeed! I think i\'ll be changing my \'munchie\'s while painting\' habits soon, thanks to your nice suggestions :)
(chocolate bars & Stella Artois with little bits of Nitromors in gets a little boring sometimes lol)

On this diet I don\'t eat much in the way of sweets but when I do I love dark chocolate. (I\'ve lost 37 ounds now and in 3 more pounds I\'ll be a third of the way to my goal!) :D

I never eat while painting and definately not sweets! I eat very cleanly to a strict diet since I\'m into training and all that stuff.

I always have a 2litre bottle of water though or sometimes a diet soda.

Such an awesome name!!! I don\'t think we get that over here, but if we did I\'d buy it for the name alone! Is it a high percentage as implied by the name?

I am surprised at the amount of people who drink a bit of alcohol while painting... anyone found it affects your results? hehe

As long as I don\'t drink too much, it\'s not a problem. Rather the opposite, in fact. I feel relaxed and in a good mood. Those are usually good conditions for successful painting. One or two beers, one or two glasses of whiskey or half a bottle of wine is usually perfect.
