favorite artists??

hi, I was browsing the gallery and saw a pic of Jakob Nielsen\'s latest mini, the mad hatter... and I have always had alot of inspiration from his works!

and I thought who are my favorite artists in miniature painting??

and I realized that it was Jakob Nielsen and Joe Hill... becuase of their fantasy and character they put in their minis!

so... who are you favorite painter/s??

just curious :)

i\'ve always loved jakob and tidoco\'s metallics. shawn\'s osl is inspiring. i think spacemunkie and ritual have fantastic, although very different techniques. and some of the french and spanish painter\'s really push the boundaries for sculpts and conversions

There are so many great artists on this site it would be hard to pick my top artists.

Tidicco has been metioned as has Shawn. Some others of note for me are Yellow one, Alexi, Victoria, Arjay does the best NMM in my opinion and the list goes on.

Some of the up and coming artists I like are Bill, Uberdark (You know you love to hear your name) and surprise but Greenone I have watched as his stuff improves with every stroke.

Could go on all day. Pick the top 200 artists and I probably love the work of half and amire the work of the other half.

That\'s a hard one. I love yellowone\'s reality. I love the spanish stuff. I know the minis, not the names. I\'m the same with music. I can tell you songs I like but not the bands that recorded them. I\'ll be back later with some names. Need to look at the gallery 1st.

Yep, Yellow one was someone i thought of straight away. Razza is another fav of mine. There\'s lots of painters who\'s work i admire and i bet there\'s still lots of talented folk who\'s work i have yet to see.

Many of the artists around here are pushing the boundaries of what can be done with miniatures, so it\'s actually kind of hard to think of painters of the top of my head, but I\'ll go with Albert Moreto Font, Bragon, jmpn, Banshee, Nano, Yellow One, Allan C, and Gloom.

Jeremie and Jose because they are two of the nicest guys I know. Alfonso most definetly. Allan for the skills. Thomas David for the color choice and overall mood of his minis. And Joe Hill because I love the minis he does.

I love Shawn R.L\'s stuff and spacemunkie does some great different stuff...
Always been a fan of Joe Hill and Jakob as well .
Depends on my mood and what I\'m painting as to who is my favourite I don\'t so much have favourite artists but models...

just a few that have got my attention a lately are...
Electrolito77....Arjay...Thomas david .....Alan C and Karaikal

I guess I get the most inspiration from any painter that works/has worked hard.
I\'ll qualify this by saying that I have *never* respected a painter that has found mastery without finding humility.

Abati (incredible skills)
Carrasco (his mini are so... smooth)
Banshee (a fucking style)
Bonamant (global work)
Biras ( his name is in my list just for fun)
Manu militari (incredible speed and a great style)
Yellow One (no comment needed)

That reminds me.. AUTOMATON! He\'s given tons of PM advice, methods, and critiqued one of my figs! What a great guy, and stunning painter.
