Just an old hippy..

No real surprises here for an agein\' hippy:
Zeppelin, Yes, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Roger Waters, Mike Oldfield, Clapton, Stereophonics and Radiohead (early).

Real wild cards are eminem, the CD from \'Silent Hill 2\' game and Gorecki symphony No 3.

Also just discovered the joys of Doyle Bramhall II after seeing him play with Roger (Pink Floyd) Waters.:flip:

Thank you for the kind words Reverend - but I left a couple of things off my list - we just upgraded our cable package here to include the digital music channels, so here the last couple of days I\'ve also been listening to 40\'s Big Band - Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey et al.

I usually just have the local radio station going for background noise but if I really want something different, I go for the likes of Enya etc. Something to chill out to and zone into the task at hand - nothing too dramatic or anything that needs me to concentrate on.

I find it hard to concentrate on the music AND paint at the same time, and NO, I am not blonde or a fe....... ummm, better not finish that line:D

Having nothing but silence, oddly enough, is too quiet for me.

Favourite Music to listen to whilst painting

I like 2 listen to Disturbed and Metallica. Disturbed have got this little righteous thing going, with very high, melodic, gothic songs, and screaming, repentant, almost religious tunes. Metallica bacause.. well they just rock.

Heavy or Gothic metal, depends on the mood. I sometimes tries to adjust the music to whatever I\'m painting but generally I find that hard to do.

funny that nobody seems to listen to mainstream top 40 stuff, us miniature painters actually have some taste in music!!

I\'m not so sure...different isn\'t necessarily better lol.

I like The Strokes, The Hives, a bit of Ash, The Who, The Kinks...they were all charters! Inspiral Carpets, Charlatans, The Stone Roses...chart!

But then you could be saying CHART NOW. In which case I\'ll shut up :).

By the way, has anyone heard that tune in the charts by Evanescence? What a pile of poo! Absolute tosh!

Gothic rock disaster...

And anyone heard of that Studt girl? I might have spelt her name wrong, but what a foxy little chanteuse ;).

I\'m off to listen to George Formby\'s greatest mis-hits and paint some NMM records.

Right now I\'m playing Jonathan Richmond with \"Ice cream man\".
God, I love this song, I can\'t help it, but I can\'t stop smiling when I listen to it.

My sentiments entirely Tammy:D

I must dig out my Usher & Britney Spears CD just to give my ears a treat and also relish in the thought that I have fine taste in music. Who knows I might even give the Spice Girls a spin, an \'ol personal favorite of mine. Only joking :)
