I sent Dragonsreach a PM regarding a gripe I had over closure of threads and some words he said to someone in another thread. He responded by email with a pretty lengthy character assassination and stated that he has received many messages about me that are negative. Not quite the response I was expecting, but I felt I\'d take the opportunity to tell everyone that if they have a gripe with me, PM me! I can\'t say I\'m particularly happy with DR\'s handling of the matter, but I can say that if someone is offended on occasions they should just tell me and stop running toDragonsreach. The email suggests there\'s a clique that exists beyond the forum. I\'m not a clique person. Want to say something about me? PM me...

What you see on this forum is not always always what you get.

Cheers all for your responses, but I don\'t want this thread to be a call for attention. It is not meant as that. I am just genuinely annoyed at what happened.

Nah, I agree with your sentiments. It\'s better for two people to sort things out one-on-one than to run to a policeman.

Hey Rev, why didn\'t you PM Dragonsreach instead of opening a topic here? I think it is very valid for people to complain to a moderator it\'s what they are here for isn\'t it and is why someone had contacted DR in the first place.

Maybe the fact that sometimes you can be quite cutting in your replies to posters here, puts people off PMing you direct???

I for one don\'t mind acerbic wit (I have been known to have some myself) but what I don\'t like are the crude and crass comments that frequent some of the posts - this is a general comment across the board. But as with any freedom of speech, comes the freedom of reading and I simply avoid these threads accordingly :]

I don\'t have a problem with any one here. Luckily we are an environment of people who aren\'t chavvy enough to spontaniously turn on each other for no particular reason. I hope for every one that this doesn\'t go wrong, and that at the end of the day, we\'ll all be ok. Just giving a pre-warn, think before you say any thing hurtful. People\'s feelings do get hurt, even if its just some text that some-one has typed in.

Well, thats me done poking my nose in.

I can see that. That\'s why I started the post. I\'m not here to kick off in a big way - I just wanted people to know they don\'t need a middleman.

I\'m glad to hear that you haven\'t received any complaints finn. I\'d like to hear from Jim on the same matter.

And Toosh, I know it wasn\'t the best thing to do (going public), but I felt aggrieved enough to act. Not always the best way, but I\'m a person who\'d rather get this kind of stuff in the open and get it resolved in full sight. I appreciate all you\'ve said though and respect it a hell of a lot.
