Rev, I may not always agree with you (for that matter, I don\'t always agree with my wife). But if I had an issue with you, you\'d know it up front. Generally, I tend to avoid a lot of threads here as I use CMON as a place to relax rather than get worked up.

Take it with a grain of salt as this too shall pass.So you tend to be a bit harsh at times people will either get over it or not.The other persons opinion is never as important as your own unless you adopt theirs as yours and then it becomeas yours, right. If I have ever said anything to harsh oh well I have already forgotten it it. Due what feels right to you, dont change for someone else then you cease to be you.DD:cool::cool:

I like your post. They are funny. Even when we had our barney a few months ago. It was out and over with. No hard feelings.

I will still give you a noogie when I meet you. :p

Oh and for the record. If anyone has a problem with me, they can pm me too.

I was told giving my opinion was like starting a bar fight then ducking out the back door. I never agreed with that. You have my address. You can find me if you really want to.

I sent Dragonsreach a PM regarding a gripe I had over closure of threads and some words he said to someone in another thread. He responded by email with a pretty lengthy character assassination and stated that he has received many messages about me that are negative. Not quite the response I was expecting, but I felt I\'d take the opportunity to tell everyone that if they have a gripe with me, PM me! I can\'t say I\'m particularly happy with DR\'s handling of the matter, but I can say that if someone is offended on occasions they should just tell me and stop running toDragonsreach. The email suggests there\'s a clique that exists beyond the forum. I\'m not a clique person. Want to say something about me? PM me...

What you see on this forum is not always always what you get.

Many thanks.

Cheers.

It\'s a pinch of salt DD! A grain just doesn\'t cut the mustard in this case, or any other documented cases of sodiun chloride larsony!
And your very brave coming out like that rev.
And Toosh, I know it wasn\'t the best thing to do (going public)
I always suspected something was a bit off from your blog picture
:p
I quite rightly wouldn\'t give a rodents rectum if someone complained about me (apart from the one count involving a cirtain lady and my bare arse), but I digress...

I have not received any complaints either.

BUT...that doesn\'t mean there haven\'t been any, or it isn\'t a valid point. Some people may be more comfortable with Mike than with the other moderators.

I know nothing of any cliques as I am a \'what you see is what you get\' type guy as well.

As to airing this greivance publicly....I can understand the viewpoint that it seems tactless, but I would hope that if anyone has a problem with what I do (as a moderator) would feel comfortable enough to take me to task on it, publicly.

I\'m not a big fan of \'closed door\' meetings. There are times and places for it, I agree, but for the most part anything I do should be held up to public scrutiny.

That is not to say that Mike feels that way about it. Differences in style don\'t necessarily convey conflict. He is entitled to his opinion as much as I (or any of us) is.

Yeah that is true. I would feel more comfortable approaching Jim as after the last month or two I feel more of a connection with him than the others.

In fact you could say more of a relationship, with shared thoughts and observations.

In fact it is perfectly normal for me to have a room with candles and incense and pictures of models with Jims head on them that only I have the key to!

:eek::eek::eek: lol

I would say that you are starting to worry me, but that would be a vast understatement......

I think I created that photo

Reverend, I have no problems with you, I\'ll PM you if I do ;)

I\'ll also echo your sentiments, as in all PM conversations I have had with any of the mods, they have mentioned people PMing them to moan about me. So, out with it! Make your feelings Open :]

I agree. If I feel the need to pass comment on any of the people here I will do it on the forums.

whenever I have a problem with Rev I try to make as much noise about it as possible, which is possibly why I only just make it onto his respect list ;)

BUT, I do think people should be able to go to the mods in strictest confidence if they have a grievance. People deal with things differently, and not everyone enjoys a rumble, even a virtual one.

I dont know what you mean by there being a clique, but maybe it was alluding to a group of people who use a similar form of provocative and sometimes crass/crude/lude behaviour on the forums that always back eachother up...

just adding my pennies to the pot ;)

Careful Bill, you might end up opening a whole can of worms ;) You tend to take offence when people mention spamming... :innocent:

I\'m only posting now to show my face. I\'ve said my piece and if it\'s for the best i\'d suggest closing this thread down. I\'d just rather forget this little episode and prevent it all from detracting from the site (for me). Cheers all of you. I never set out to have people publicly support me. I honestly thought the thread would close immediately. I feel happier in myself that a lot of the people here are totally at the opposite end of what DR has suggested. I can\'t pander to people and I never will. There may be people that like me and others who don\'t but that\'s beyond my control.

If we ever had a pint though, I can almost guarantee I\'d get on with nigh on everyone. In real life things appear different :)

There is a saying that goes

\'don\'t sweat the small stuff\'

In all regards this is the \'small\' stuff.

Things are indeed much different in real life and thankfully so!!

Since Reverend has \"Had a go at me\" in public I feel that I should at least clarify something here.

I have received quite a number of complaints about reverend over the time I\'ve been a moderator here, but here\'s a question for reverend himself;

How many have been passed forward to you Phil? Perhaps one! Is that not correct ?

With all the complaints sent to me, I\'ve defended reverend\'s right to free speech no matter how little I think of the content of what he\'s posted, and all but one of the complainants have understood my stance in these discussions and we have resolved the issue privately and without any fuss.

Now I quoted Avicenna because he has pointed out, some people come to me in confidence, because they feel uncomfortable with trying to deal with someone who is as outspoken and quite often retaliatory in their responses as reverend and cannot handle the virtual confrontation that they feel will ensue, that confidence I will respect and defend.

Now when reverend PM\'d me I wrote back(via email) and explained my stance and the circumstances, in a reasonable manner as I always attempt to do, in fact if Phil had bother to read the email correctly he would see that I was taking quite a lighthearted view on the whole issue. As far as I was concerned this was a matter that we could have resolved privately and without a public attack on me.

But now I am being publically accused by Phil of a character assasination of him, and he has raised this thread in what I see as a deliberate attempt to gather his own support.

I normally never rise to a confrontation, but in this case it was a necessity to repond to such an attack against me.
