Female miniatures.

There\'s a certain type of female miniature that\'s difficult to find. That\'s female miniatures with short hair. In life I am attracted to women with short hair but there aren\'t that many put into miniature form. One of the only miniatures I know about is an archangel trooper from I-kore\'s Void range. Other than that there aren\'t many more. Does anyone know what we can do about this?Maybe we can get some action on this problem. So long.:)

Off the top of my head there are several pretty cool miniatures you are forgetting about:

From Reaper:
Amiryth Elmlighter
http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/2700s/2711_G

and tons of Fenryl minis sculpted by the same wonderful sculptor (gael here on cmon) an example I believe would be:

Female Thieves:
http://www.dragglestown.com/cgi-bin/miva?Merchant2/merchant.mv+Screen=PROD&Store_Code=Dragglestown&Product_Code=FEN-FA105

from GW you have all of the sisters of battle

Well, there\'s a start.

I think there are more like that in i-Kore\'s ranges... especially Void.

How short does the hair have to be to count as short?

Short hair

Miniatures with hair cut close to the skull. Nothing over the ears. That limited edition Chicks Challenge would have been great if I had bought it. I\'ll have to check out Reaper\'s figures more closely. I\'ve been noticing a lot of really cool paintjobs lately. I have the catalog but didn\'t think much of them. Thanks.

Well, let\'s see. There are:

Mira the Reckless from Confrontation.
Forsaken Haniel from Dark Age.
Forsaken Bounty Huntress from Dark Age.
Forsaken Reaver from Dark Age (Yeah she
is bald. But how much more close cut
can you get? :bouncy: :) )

Yeah, but she\'s also weird and creepy as hell, unfortunately. You may have a problem, I think a lot of sculptors give female minis long hair as a form of identifying shorthand. When your face is 3 mm across, long hair (and boobs) can be extremely useful gender identifiers. And then there\'s Sandra Garrity, who just pines for the days of Farrah Fawcett and \"feathers\" ;)

Edit: if you\'re really lucky, you might be able to get your hands on one of these:

The Chick Challenge IV Limited Edition miniature. There might be a few still floating around, maybe eBay...

re: Liberty

Fat American woman with an axe... I like it. Some sort of comment on the problem of obesity in the states, I suppose... oh wait, that makes me like it more! Maybe we should assume her last name is \"McDonald\" :)
Is that one a Reaper mini? I want one.

Actually it\'s supposed to be a portrait of Kev\'s wife after their first child was born (seriously). I quite like the fig. She looks a little more natural that your average female fig.

She is available at Kev\'s online store (hosted at my website btw).

Liberty

Good grief: facially she looks like one of my neices. \"Structually\" she doesn\'t. I\'d get her one of these, but she\'s likley to insert it in a painful location instead of painting it.
She (my neice) wants to get back into painting mini\'s when her daughter\'s at school age. Her daughter\'s 3, so she\'s going to have to be patient for a while yet.

Bald Chick

Of course there\'s that nifty bald woman from Dark Age. I can\'t recall what she\'s called, but there\'s plenty of her on CMON and it\'s a right nice mini.

We should be receiving the first of Kev\'s line here at CMON shortly. Can\'t quite remember what is in the first shipment, maybe the Ogre and Liberty, I will make a big announcement when they arrive:bouncy:

Short hair.

Thanks Borg. I\'m going to check ebay to see if I can find one of those. That chick challenge miniature is just what I\'m talking about. Foundry also make a couple of punk girls in their street combat game with short hair, but I\'m not into the cyberpunk genre. Thanks everyone.

Very Cool mini!! We need more \"anti-fiannas\". That\'s one of the things I love about I-Kore females.

Liberty and the Ogre were posted to you today, so you should have them by the end of next week.

Many GW Necromunda Escher gangers have hair that is pretty much shaved over musch of their head, admittedly with huge 80\'s-style ponytails too, but they can be removed with little fuss.
I\'m in the process of converting a couple to Delaque gangers. This involves giving them weird goggles, removing all of their hair to make them bald, and covering their exposed flesh with long overcoats. Gods it\'s fun to wreck tabletop miniature stereotypes! Just to kick back at the people who say \'you should have left a clearer view to the chest\'. Sorry, I\'m getting a bit carried away here, so before I hijack this post I\'ll stop.

In summation: Escher!
