Female Necromancer

I\'ve started photographing and posting my work again, so to start off I thought I\'d post one of my favorites, Reaper\'s Female Necromancer:
http://www.coolminiornot.com/228167

She started out as a demonstration for a class on painting faces and skin as my example for unusual skin tones. After sitting on my workbench for, well, a long time, I finished her up for a local painting contest. She took first place in a small but surprisingly high quality group of minis. (RastlCon in Kenosha, WI)

I was quite pleased with how the lighting effects and freehand on her cape turned out.

Comments are appreciated!

Now that is one of the best painted drow I have ever seen!

If she isn\'t/wasn\'t a drow...well she is now by my standards.

OOps got so excited forgot to vote on it after loking at it...off to vote it a deserving 9 now....

This is a very deceptive paintjob, fantastic dark fleshtones & a vibrant yellow-green that is in keeping with the overall pallette, all do wonders to hide a horrific mini. All of the worst aspects of Fantasy / Comic Book art compressed into a single figure. So ghastly it\'s cool! lol

The Chaos Comics (Brian Pulido) Lady Death like \"bra\" would have led me to a white flesh, tedious black & red costume, yours is far more interesting. A fantastic piece of work

I gave it a 9  lol

Like I said in the comment, this is my favourite one of yours, good work all round. I think I\'m the only one that likes the sculpt by the sounds...although I may have replaced the sword...but otherwise I like it, says a lot about my tastes huh :) Oh and the bottom piece of the figure looks like it\'d be fun to paint...the swirly robes...ooo :flip:
