Femme Militant

Hi, it\'s been a while but I finally have something finished other than workstuff. This is one of John Blanche\'s Femme Militants, called Mary Bones, and I really enjoyed painting her.

I know the pics aren\'t the best, I\'ll try to get some better ones, but at least you get the idea. And I still like painting green and white...although I\'ll try to stay away from it on my next one.

Nice one crisp, well detailed and excellent technique. Especially love the girdle and the green. The only nitpick is the base.. I think you could have picked a better setting for her than the normal sand/static grass type of base.

Great to see some new stuff from you here! I might start to paint one of mine femme militants too now..

Thanks! About the base, yeah I guess in a way you\'re right, but I prefer simple bases. (Basically I just don\'t like basing lol)

A great job on possibly my favourite of the Femme Militant models. Its cool seeing one of these in a less dark and brooding scheme.

Have to agree about the base though, something more spectacular would be a great finishing touch. And how can you not like basing? It\'s the most fun part of doing a mini!

This mini is absolutely flawless, I can not critisize anything (and I am good in critisizing ).
I like especially the very realistic choice of colors that fits perfectly to this miniature.

Very nice paint scheme, clean, crisp and fairly subtle even with the inclusion of a fairly bright green.

Now where did i put my finger breaking hammer? :twisted:

I have to agree that I think the mini is a Seriously Ugly one. Almost an armed version of Viz\'s two female lead characters. (As it is I\'ve not seen any of the Femme Militant that I like)

BUT the painting is first class.
