Fighting with a Dwarf

I\'m working on this guy and am kind of stuck. I don\'t really have any plan on where to go as far as a paint scheme for the rest of him.

I was going to do the helmet and breastplate next but I don\'t know what colors I want to do. Should I go metallics, a color, or I have tried a few metallic/color blends? Once I get the breastplate done I can add the ax on.

Edit: Sorry about the big picture. I can\'t get the img=450x600 to work like it should.

Quite the dilemma! I don\'t think a color would be good, unless its done sparingly, so personally I\'d go with metallics. Maybe picking out some of the studs to be gemstones to add some color in. If you decide against the metallic, I\'d go with a nice brown leather as second choice.

Silver, bronze, gold, copper?

Not the copper, since it would match the red beard too much. I don\'t get the impression he\'d wear gold. Silver might be good, but I think I\'d go with bronze.

Maybe use a darker metallic color on the plates on the chainmail, or a few darker metallic colors, so it looks cobbled together, and then make the chainmail itself a lighter silver color? Maybe experiment with some textures on the plates as well? i.e Hammer marks (to go for a cobbled together look) or some different weathering/battle damage?

I think I\'ll try Tin Bitz - the top one.
