Finally did it!

I really need to get some good brushes soon. The place were I bought my \"cheap\" brushes is closing shop in a few days. I have looked around at the local craft stores and art stores and I can\'t find W&N series 7. Basically I use Royal brushes and they bend way to easy and way to fast.:(

One day, I too will have enough money to get truly good brushes.

And then, a day much further in the future, I will have enough skill to use them effectively...

And on that day, there will be joy....

And Satan will turn up the heat because it\'s getting chilly.

Can\'t wait to see how it goes with better brushes, if you\'re just so damn good with those GW mops :)

I said the same thing about myself. But after using some decent brushes, hell, those pigs did fly!

\"GW mops\" indeed! Your minis\' detail and polish were already ridiculous, Eric...so ends the era of Mortal Painting. Welcome the Divine Era. lol

As a side note, I\'m curious about these stiffer brushes. I also find many brushes too flimsy for my tastes. What are they, how good are they, and where can I get some?

I still think you should sell them instead. Hell, I\'d buy them, maybe some of your talent would rub off on me, crappy brushes or not!

lol

brushes brushes brushes

I used to buy cheap \"no-name\" brushes and they were fine with me at the beginning. But I think the cheap ones tend to split or get a bend at the tip of the brush, so you don\'t have very much fun with them in the long run... :(
At the moment I use DaVinci brushes and I they are very pointed and sharp, even the 1 and 2 brushs.
Yesterday I orderd 3 new W&N series 7 brushes because I heard so much about them (mostly good! ;)). Iam curious how they stand out...
Only the price (30 Euro for 3 brushes) is a big drawback.

I would also consider buying them but I would probably ruin them, as I am horrible with brushes. :(

$%&#^. Oh Yes! I just want everyone to know that up til now I was painting with my toes; and having found myself bored will now begin using my hands like normal painters.
Very Nice Eric. Am looking forward to seeing the results.

well, they arrived, and I have to say, did people know brushes held a point for more than 2-3 brushstrokes, lol

Duende, if you want you can have some of these old ones...but I fear they might not help much :(

If you haven\'t already, you might try asking a clerk, particularly in the art stores. I didn\'t think my art store carried them until I finally asked, and they had the series 7 in a special display case at the counter, I guess because the larger size brushes really cost a bundle. Though I\'ve had the opposite experience to many people. The brushes I bought from the store were bushy and dried out, and most of the ones I\'ve bought online have been fine.

Yes but you are supposed to go into an Art store and ask. Not an \"Artistic\" store.
