Finally posted a mini

Cripeys, after damn university, and moving to So Cal, I got fed up and put this dumb mini up. Just looking for some votes or comments... rather criticisms are more appreciated (find the bad!).

Its my first completed mini, base, etc...etc...etc... I may use him for freehand practice too, but his robes just seem wierd, there is not many folds in them.

The photography is SO SO, can\'t tell if my monitor is picking up the right colors or what.
Actually, I see the black robes don\'t show any highlighting almost in the photo, so the pic needs improvement, I may re-post.

I hope you dont mind but i did a bit of editing on your photo,and came up with this.

Is this a little closer to how it looks?

Now to the minaiture itself,
I love the reds ( red can be a hard colour to paint), and the NMM looks great. Overall a very nice looking miniature. A solid 8 from me.

I actually came across this one while going through the gallery and voting. The pic was pretty dark, so it was hard to say just how good it was. Thanks to JD, I can see it much better now.

It looks like a very solid painting, especially for a first one. You\'ve got shading and highlights with a clean paint job. Great work!

For being your first completed mini it is very well done. You might have hundreds of half or three quarter completed minis on your desk but thats besides the point. I do like the red cloak because it took me a very long time to figure out the exact method to approach the color. I use photoshop to get the lighting a little better on my pics. You can use similar programs to get the colors as close to real life as possible. Keep them coming.

yea the bottom one works a bit better, but the face looks a little washed out. The only thing that REALLY matches well on my pic, is the face. Your pic shows the red and NMM better. I will continue to fool around with it, and I will change my pic. to your edited one (many thanks, and of course with your permission! , :beer.

It truly is a bland mini, but it was alright practice.
As for unfinished minis... I have one mini about 60% complete, using metalics, but I am losing my will to paint it. And my WIP shows 2 orcs at about 30%.

The pic sucks pretty bad, but the mini looks very nice, mid 7 at the very least. I will vote when the pic is changed.

OK check out this lil boner.. worse picture??? Also, does anyone think flock or something would spice up the base? I added those rock chunks, and its terraced... but I feel its still bland.
