Finally some good luck for someone (me)

Hi all

This morning my little family took some of our not worn for ages clothes to our local charity shop, doing out good deed for the day. Whilst there, I always check to see if they have any wooden blocks ( the toy stacking kind) as they are great for mounting miniatures (I think JBT mentions this in his first DVD) anyway, I saw a little brown box on the shelf that I thought looked familiar, and what do you know, it was a Kingdom Death box! I grabbed it and the $5.00 price tag wasn't enough to deter me. I asked the old girl behind the counter if they had anymore like this and ......

Looks like someone started painting them and gave up! now do I strip them clean or just work with what's there? it looks like some have been damaged, the great game hunter and Flower Knight, but it appears all the parts are there.

holy bananas! congrats!

i never had any 2nd hand luck like this but a friend to me found a whole necron army in a gw transport bag once listed at "toys" and sold for like nothing. i still hate that.

good stuff, you cant beat a good bit of unearthed treasure.

ive gerenaly had bad luck with any 2nd hand mini purchases. by mate seem to get some good bargains but I've never managed to get anything decent

Good deal! Yeah, 2nd hand can be scary, I picked up a batch recently, the seller didn't pack it well enough and the mail man used it as a football. So the metal pieces crushed the resin pieces... Everything could be saved up it took me forever.

A few years back in a local charity shop around the corner from me I saw classic heroquest, advanced heroquest, space crusade, bloodbowl and space hulk all for sale at £2 each. Having no money on me I promptly ran around to the cash machine, ran back and.......................... GONE, all f'in gone, gone it 3 mins............ damn it still hurts :(

Good score homer.. I went to some markets a while back and picked up a heap of old citadel journals for twenty cents each but never anything that good

Well, you good deeds have paid off! That is pretty damn amazing. Whoever left that stuff there could have sold the Flower Knight alone for $100. I actually offered this much to someone and they turned me down. Bailey03 was kind enough to sell to me at a reasonable price. You really should paint it, was a joy for me.

$$Is there anything in the pile you don't want?$$

AndyG - I actually have a brand new flower knight, he's been in his little brown box for a couple of years. If you are interested, let me know :)
