Finaly some time to paint

Well its been 2yrs since Ive been able to sit down and paint something ... (kids/work ...sigh) this was my last submission http://coolminiornot.com/pics/pics12/img478552b70903a.jpg ... I was pretty proud of it scorring a 5.9 for being the 3rd mini I ever painted the forth one i prepped up to be painted is put to the side for now so i can paint a mini i got form ME23 plus a couple i grabbed from a yard sale .....

these had so much paint on them it took for ever to strip off and as ya can see not all of it came off ..... Now the question is does this look fine the way it is or should i add more/alter/remove anyting or go ahead and prime it up and paint away ..... Thanks for any input in advance...

Ohh where the bush is now is just a reference point for where ill be putting some plant/grass etc

:good:That's a very cool concept. Nice range of textures and colours to look forward to painting an all.

It's all at the placeholder stage? Cos the tent could do with a something at the base so it doesn't look so "stuck on". Bits of gravel or grass to close that line between the two areas.

Going for tufts of long grass? There's a range I haven't tried yet, but think I shall when I get back to rural peices. Siftor tufts, or something.
Or you going for bits of shorter grass? Made up of painted sand and/or static grass.

If only there were mini's that suggested themselves for trussed up Dwarves, or positioned to be roasted on a spit. :snicker:

Ya there just in reference locations atm ... to make the basing easier i removed the tent and just covered the whole thing in stone .... ill be removing the stone from under the tent so the stone will hide the edge better ... along with other stones and static grass that i will be 0putting along it after painting and its permitly set into place ..

another update ... not much has changed except a little paint and i added a tree ..... i decided to build a shed in the back yard and broke my left hand in the process (shrug) so painting has been a little tuff hehehe ...... the question i have is ..... does the tree look good in the overall sceam of things and the fire .. color?... Im not the best painter (yet hehe) but it seems to look a little cartoonish to me .... anyone with a good fire color combo ?... i only have Vallejo game colors (almost all them) and some of the model colors .. the flor colors and washes ...

Im still getting used to my new camera so bare with me hehe

Last update for the nite ....

decided to paint the Black Orcs shield ... this might change as i dont know if i can come up with a color sceme for his armor that will go with the shield .... the sheild is about 80% done
