Finding a good paint retarder?

Seen a tutoria for blending and the guy used a paint retarder in squeezy bottle but it was branded. I have trouble blending as its always fairly warm in the house the paint dries quick due to it being watered down.

Iv tried google fu and searching shops but no avail. I have to rely on you lot!

Any recomendations

In the US, you can find retarder at arts and crafts stores like Hobby Lobby and Michael's, and also artist stores (Dick Blick, for instance). There are artist brands like Golden, W&N, and Liquitex, and craft paint brands like Delta, Anita's and Folk Art.

I've used Liquitex Slo-Dri Fluid Retarder and Anita's All Purpose Extender (also a fluid) and they both keep the paint open a while longer. The lower cost Anita's works as well as the Liquitex IMO.

Now, though, I use a wet palette for that purpose most of the time, which works fine for layering and glazing.

Is this wet-blending or doing blends via layering?

I was assuming that you were having trouble with the paint drying too fast on the model, not on the palette, but I would strongly recommend a wet palette regardless. I resisted trying one for years because the commercial ones are pricey and I didn't want to fork out and find it was pants.

Anyway, they are worth their weight in gold for acrylics and similar paints - particularly for during a painting session, less so for long-term storage. I would have tried one a lot sooner if I knew you could make one at home for very little money.

Acrylic retarders should be available in any decent art shop that sells the paint, do you not have one nearby? W&N, D-R, Liquitex and Golden all make one or more.

As well as dedicated retarders, most brands have a medium or two that has some retarding action (e.g. blending medium).
